The present title " Biotechnology of Plant Tissues" has been designed for all those under-graduates, post-graduates and technicians who wish to knowand use the principles and techniques of modern biotechnology. This text provides the essential knowledge of the core processes involved in the cultivation of plantcells and tissues enabling the readers to understand the practical application of these techniques. Chapter like preparation of protoplasts, genetic engineering, micro-propagation, and preparation of haploid cell etc.

Dr. P.R. Yadav did post-graduation from Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur in 1983 and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University in 1988. From 12-11-1990 to 3108-1996 worked as a scientist at the Silkworm Seed Technology Laboratory, Central Silk Board, Bangalore. During this period visited People Republic of China and did a specialised course on Silkworm Nutrition and Physiology from Zhejiang Agricultural University, Hangzhou, China. Dr. Rajiv Tyagi obtained M.Sc. (Zoology) from Meerut University (Presently Chaudhary Charan Singh University) Meerut with 1st division. He studied Entomology as a special paper. He is an active and talented researcher. His field of interest is Endocrinology. He has awarded Ph.D. in the field of Reproductive Physiology.
