Beautifully evocative of a time that is gone forever

This book is by one of the most cultured and inspiring women in India today. Bird in a Banyan Tree is at once enchanting, frightening and revelatory. The story of her early life is beautifully evocative of a time that is gone forever. An interesting read

Bird in a Banyan Tree can be of interest to people from several aspects. The reason why it caught my attention is because Ms Ramani deftly speaks of the time when Delhi was pushing its own makeover. Ms Ramani's contribution towards creating fashion labels and making Delhi what it is now, known for branded labels and chic boutiques has been immense. Worth Reading

Having grown up in Delhi, Bina's name was familiar to me. The language is crisp, it must have been written by a very talented ghost writer.

What is mind blowing is the story, she has experienced in one life time what others can't. The highs the lows and the resuscitation from situations which seem extremely bleak.

Hats off to you Bina! I have gifted several copies of this book already!
