Bitch Goddess for Dummies is a light, fun read which somehow still manages to build towards to a mature ending to its painful broken-family sub-plot. The book narrowly misses several clichés, and winds up as an honest, pleasant narrative – which is exactly why I enjoyed reading it much more than the usual “chick lit”.
