The VM 1630's 1600 W motor runs on a power supply of 220 to 240 V which is standard for Indian homes. The powerful motor generates a suction power of 1600 W which is capable of eliminating dust and dirt easily. The 2 filter system in the B&D VM 1630 makes sure that the dirt once sucked in, stays in the dust bag.
Body
The Black and Decker VM 1630 vacuum cleaner is made from tough plastic to make sure that it can withstand the test of time and provide rigid support for the internal mechanical parts. The VM 1630 has an on-board tool storage which is located at the back side under the exhaust grill. The exhaust grill which covers the exhaust filter provides further filtration to the air being expelled, so that even tiny particles are captured.The B&D VM 1630 weighs 3.3 kg and is very easy to move while cleaning. The dust-bag-full indicator which is at the centre lights up when the dust bag needs to be emptied to avoid improper functioning. The flexible hose allows you to connect the telescopic tubes to the VM 1630 so that you can reach the cobwebs and dust in high places. The suction opening can be found in the front just behind the ergonomically designed handle.
Performance and Convenience Features
The 5 m power cord of the Black and Decker VM 1630 vacuum cleaner is located at the bottom right corner next to the tool box. The cord rewind button and the on/off button are located on either side towards the bag. The placement of the buttons allows you to use either your hand or foot to operate it. The variable suction control knob is located in between these buttons and can be used to control the suction intensity based on your cleaning requirement.The pre motor filter prevents dust and dirt from coming in contact with the motor, thereby protecting the motor. The pre motor filter can be taken out and cleaned if it gets too dirty which helps to maintain the suction force generated by the motor to be constant. For easy portability, the VM 1630 has wheels on either side and after use it can be stored using its 2 way parking system.
