BlackBerry 9670 (Reliance)

Well the cell phone market is clustered with full touch screen phones and when you want to choose one, they almost feel simmilar and no matter what you choose , at the end of the day you stil have a plain large piece of glass and its soooooo boring, was using lg arena for 2 years and was waiting for a handset which could excite me design wise.....

and then i came across this bb style, for a moment i though .. ummm a clamshell in 2012 ,as clamshell or flip phones has been declared or felt as an extinct design by the masses.... but this is one felt different, this one felt not cheap but rich in terms of design and the guys at blackberry has done a commandable job to make this clamshell design look very contemprory or to put it in simple terms ... acceptable in todays world of monsterous screen phone. great job guys.

I personally have always wanted to get a flip phone but all flip phones in the market are made for entry level customers , those who are looking for something cheap and economical.... but the BB STYLE 9670 has really brought something that even high end user can look forward to...

after using it for A WEEK , here are my thoughts

>>>> The design WILL SET YOU APART from current mobile users and in a good way.
>>>>> The flip system is great for calls and also protects the screen and keypads
>>>>>> The screen is big enough for any use
>>>>> The external screen is of some fine use and again the people at BlackBerry has done some great job in designing the external dispaly in a way that it melts or blend with the phone and when the screen is off its just appears plain black and it looks really nice
>>>>>>> the build quality is solid and you never feel you have something cheap or loose in your hand.
>>>>>>> led indicators are again well fused on the top
Overall a nice phone to get if you are looking for something thats unique and functional at the same time...

As i feel no phones are perfect here are some CONS i felt i must mention

}}} A tad overpriced in indian market, i did went through some web pages and felt these phones are cheaper in america, but again phones there comes with yearly contracts and other conditions so its not that big a issue but I still feel that it should have been around RS. 15,000 .

}}} Battery backup is a bit disappointing i felt, it maybe that i am a heavy user but somewhere i felt that the battery on style is not up to mark with the other features it offers.....
was not even able to last one day , hope other user are getting better back up

Overall no regrets as of now and i will surely recommend it BUT again phones choices are very personal thing so do go through all choices before buying anything.....

One gr8 piece of handheld. Bought one jst today. :-)

Its certainly a feature rich phone in its own class, especially the external screen that glows like jewels and the navigation touch pad that makes navigation easier. The screen / display is clearly visible from all angles and the built-in help guides & tutorials ensures that we never get stuck with some topic.

I got in love with this phone when I first saw it & couldn't resist gifting this phone to my wife and ordered this phone the very next moment.

Out of the way, I got the delivery of the handset within 2 days. It was carefully packed to make sure that it doesn't gets damaged in the transit. Flipkart Rocks!

I have recently purchased this phone from flipkart.com and this phone really got some style.
Its completely different from other blackberries in terms of its looks & design. Also blackberry services are working good with reliance CDMA, much better than GSM one's.
Battery backup is a bit less as compared to GSM Blackberries, may be because i am a heavy user & it is a bit slow but works well overall.
At last flipkart service is great as i got my phone within 24 hours.

The downside is the internet only work with Blackberry service, we canot use in 2g or edge , gprs for data usage, data usage is only with 3g which costs high...
