BlackBerry Bold 9780

I have been using this phone for 3 months now and have been very impressed with the phone. I have faced problems with this phone. However, the occasional 5-7 second hang does happen. Probably because I ruin many applications at the same time. But this BB is by far the best right now. Since I have a very rough handling of my phones, I have seen that the phone is very sturdy as well. The camera is great!
I like the multi-tab feature in the browser. The multiple pages for the apps is cool but not very useful. IOS6 is smooth. Overall, Great phone, great looks, great performance.

The 9780 is a delight in your hands.I was very keen to buy a phone which wasnt touch-screen yet be a smartphone and the BB 9780 has no competitors in that league.The keypad is remarkable and the optical trackpad a sure joy to use.the OS6 does have glitches but smooth enough to warrant a good experience. The notifications are very cool on OS6.not to mention a great battery life. with music/videos/camera/games all used extensively, my battery withstands 2 days without a charge.

Overall, a very good phone with nice multi-tasking features and super smooth to use.

I have been using Blackberry bold 9780 for 6 months. This is my first blackberry. I can say I made the correct choice.

OS6 universal search:- Type anything you want on the home screen, friends name,an email, a song , a picture , a video or anything on your phone and its there. type the contact u want to call hit the call key.Enter you search key words and one click, Google search results open. The interface a very fast.

Treat to your ears and eyes:- U can change on call sound quality while making a call. The earphones are superb. Music and video quality is amazing. Plays all standard formats.When locked the silence key on top left and the volume keys can operate as your media keys.

Voice Interaction:I am surprised!! yes it actually works. The voice pronunciation of contact is far better than any other phones I have used.

Battery: With BIS on, two email accounts configured, Facebook, Twitter, Messengers logged in, 2 hr daily music on earphones and average no. of calls and messages it gives me two days. With BIS off and very less calling i have seen 5 days without charging.

Apps: superb apps, i am a regular fruit ninja player, Times of India gets my daily morning news, other magazine apps. Travel app is amazing. One of my Fav... Dropbox help me harness the power of cloud. I click a photo and it there on my desktop, playbook any where i want it to be. Facebook integrates with phone book and you can sync photos and birthdays save on calender. Two click and you can write on your friends wall.

Google maps, G.P.S works very well.

Camera is amazing though it take a while to get the hang of it.

Blackberry is known for its BBM, security standards and encryption.

Wifi works superb. Has the option to configure via WiFi protect.

Yup is a bit costly on Ur pocket with Rs300 to 400/ month(non corporate plan) for BIS but ya it really helps u multitask. Browsing speed with EDGE is fine for searches and browsing.

If you are looking for a gaming phone or do not need a efficient,quick and round the clock internet presence and communication and BIS appears costly then you can consider other options.

Wonder-full, efficient work and multimedia smartphone.

I bought this phone a few months ago, at first it seemed to be the best one i came across so far, but after a couple of days i faced different kind of problems.

At first i had a problem with the camera. the picture quality is no doubt magnificent but the camera application hanged after a couple of consecutive snaps. so i had to restart the device every time i had this problem.

The second problem with the phone is it's cheap china made accessories. Data cable started malfunctioning after only 3 months. at first i thought it was my desktop's usb ports which were faulty but then i tested it over and over again in my desktop as well as on my laptop and got the same result.

one other prob with this bb 9780 is that the message memory is too small with respect to the overall memory and after a period of time messages get automatically deleted without prior notification. So my advice is if you buy this one be sure to backup all your important messages using "blackberry protect" in the blackberry server, in this way you can always recover lost messages.

However despite all this problem i must say this is by far the best bb phone i have ever used. it's stylish bold design and numerous features with upgraded os 6 and different utility applications available in bb world (of course not as much as the androids) to suit ones need makes it one of the best bb phone ever produced.

I have used this phone for a year now and I can tell you for sure from all the other smart phones I have used this is the best one after of course the Iphone 4S. Besides the fact that its a BB and its BBM facility, its a very user friendly phone and since this was my first BB it wasn't hard for me to get used to the Blackberry world after using Nokia phones and a Motorolla all my life. It's multi taking ability is quite brilliant and the camera is superb even though its not some 8mp camera. The the key pad is amazing and the best among BB's.

The main cons to this product are the problems with the lagging of the software and the issue of rebooting often. Also like all BB's the body is quite fragile and a couple of falls would damage the product well enough for beyond repair. Also the battery life isnt exactly something to brag.

Honestly a great buy even with the high price, worth every penny even with the cons because of its pro's exceeding by far. For sure the best phone RIM has produced so far. If kept properly this phone is definitely worth the price. A Blackberry worth the name.
