I bought this one week back. The phone get hung at least once in a day. A simple restart will not solve the problem. I need to remove the battery and restart it. Sometimes the phone goes off, sometimes audio will not work.
The Audio quality is also very poor. I was using Nokia before. That one has better audio quality. I wasted my 26450 for this stupid blackberry
First Of All!! You Don't Buy A Blackberry To Compare It With Android Or Iphone. Blackberry is in a different segment altogether. Android Phones and Iphone Are Very Good At What they Do, They Are Very Very Good Media Consumption Devices.
Whereas Blackberry Has Always Been The Best At Productivity. I Own Both, An Iphone And A BB.
Anyways, This Bold 9790 is a slim and sexy device, Featuring The Touch And Type Combo. The Screen Resolution is Amazing, With All The Deep Blacks And Vibrant Whites.
The Device Is Very VEry Light, You Might Sometimes Forget That You Have A BB In Your Pocket.
Its very Powerful BB With The Marvel Tavor MG1 1GHZ processor, You Will Get the Most Out Of Your BB OS 7, Thats for sure.
Don't Go by the negative reviews, its sad that some buyers had bad experiences, BUT the ALL DEVICES COME WITH A YEAR LONG WARRANTY, SO you can Get It Repaired And CHecked At The Service centres For FREE.
I lOve This BB.
hey ppl i've this phone ! n there s no kinda battery or hang problem not at ol i use this cell whole day .. full multitasking n ol doesnt even lag for a sec ! with liquid graphics it give superb fluid , animation effects video, music, social networking, bbm, texting, email, browsing everything you can do and with a additive touch screen it even compete with androids pinch to zoom works like a charm ... and there s no battery problem i charge it for 2 hours (full charge ) and it keep on working whole day with super heavy usage !! believe me i'm loving this phone :))))
I have been using a blackbery for the past 1 and a half years, I started with a 9700 bold 2 and now I moved on to 9790. I dint buy this from flipkart but wanted to share my opinion with everyone. One line-"NOT WORTH THE PRICE" I say this simply because for the features it offers, it is overpriced a great deal. It is only because I need to be in constant touch with my office and personal mail, do i go for a blackberry or else for the price I really think youl get superbly better phones for this range.
Pros
1. Ya, it has a touch screen but doesnt compesate for the extra cost.
2. Ya it has a 5 MP Camera , but..well..
3. Ya, it is sleek in designa and light but whatever..
Cons
1. Touch screen is good, but honestly there isnt much you can do with a blackberry touchscreen. Its not an android, so its basically useless.
2. 5 MP camera is a good feature and Iv heard ppl say that its the best BB camera ever, but honestly I dint find anything brilliant about this camera. Very average. A Micromax phone in the range of 15k would produce better results.
3. It is light and sleek, but it is a problem as it slips very easily out of the cover and might fall..which brings me to myu next point..
4. No cover included!!! I mean RIM really, for the price your charging and the absence of features, you really could have added a goddamn leather cover which fits it well. Till date I havent found a cover that fits it completely, either the head is out or you have to buy a belt buckle one which im against..so..
5. The price!! O god!! 26k for somthing like this?? Its not worth it. I can get Iphone 3 for almost the same price these days, why should I buy a blackberry.
6. The looks are exactly like the bold 2. Some colleagues at work hardly even noticed I got a new phone till they used it and (accidentally) touched the screen which responded.
Points to note:
1. People have talked about batter issues, and I dont know as I get one and a half day with moderate aount of use. Not sure about the people who are heavy on youtubing and BBMing. One weird thing I noticed about this phone, which I doubt if anyone has mentioned is the battery charges really fast as well. 45 mins to 1 hour and your good to go with full battery. So i dont know what the story is..
2. Sometimes while taking it out of the cover(which i bought seperately) or pressing the lock button, i accidentally touch the screen and some application starts loading. Its a nuisance. Maybe since im used to a non touch bb, im facing this problem.
3. Some people have also complained about sound quality. i think its pretty ok.
Verdict: If you are a heavy Blackberry user and only only want ablackberry for mails and BBM, i would suggest go for a cheaper model like Curve or the earlier Bold. And if you just want to buy a phone, and your budget is around 25k, go for a Samsung or Iphone, dont waste money on this fellow. It is nothing exceptional nor ground breaking.
Sorry RIM, you gotta hit me with something better.
This has probably been the worst purchase of my lifetime. I switched from a Bold 2 to this supposed 'Bold 5' and i actually miss my old phone everyday. The battery life is just the first of my woes, it drains within a period of 3 to maximum 4 hours during which you have to stare at the delay clock at regular intervals for a period of at least two minutes which is a lot. If i didn't see the need to use buttons to type now and then, i would actually suck it up and buy an android.
This is my 3rd experience with Blackberry phones and i am forced to use it for my office emails.
Frankly, its a complete...
I have recently shifted from Blackberry 9360 curve to this bold phone family. And guess what the shift was worth the features....
