BlackBerry Curve 9360

A friend of mine bought this Blackberry Curve 9360 few days ago. Had the battery issue of not last whole day. Comparing the specs and battery capacity, it seems the problem should be on the settings of the mobile. Found out that PTT (Push To Talk) spot Feature is active be default and it should be deactivated to avoid battery drain. Have a nice day.

I got this phone two days back. I have used the curve 3G and bold 3(9780). But this phone is better than the two.

The best things about the phone are that:
It is slim.
It has a flash.
It has a very nice snap-on back cover which has no risk of a break down while opening or closing it.
It has got a small sensor on the back, which detects the back cover.
The design of this curve is verry attractive and the new trackpad it black and has a led inside it, which makes it look sexier when the phone's keypad lights up.
The keys of the qwerty keypad are very comfortable and have got appropriate spacing between each letter.
Another great feature about this blackberry is its metalic rim, which has a matte finish, which was not there on the cruve 3G and the bold 9780. this eliminates the risk of scratches appearing on your smartphone. :)

A few things not present in the phone are:
The back cover is fibre plastic, which should have been better.
Blackberry should have included a pocket holster for this phone in the box.

In all this phone is worth for money, being a part of the BlackBerry OS 7 family.

Guys let me tell u if ur a bb fan then this cell is a must.....bb as launched two sensational phones curve 9360 and bold 9790 when ur gonna buy curve 9360 who might as well think u would want to go for bold 9790....my advice is dont waste ur money just shut ur eyes and go for curve 9360 if ur looking for a fair deal cos i feel 9790 is over priced ....here is why...

I got exactly what i wanted.
this is actually an amazing phone.
love every thing about it!
the design and its looks are absolutely fabulous.
its very sleek,so its always better to put silicon cover on it and hard covers may cause scratches to the phone.
no hanging,not complicated,lots of new features plus,good on the pocket!
this phone is just a big sensitive. but if you've got a screen guard and a cover, you'll love it.
i had 8520 earlier(a very sturdy phone) and after a while, it started to hang a lot.
i have this phone since 8 months and i'm loving it.
comes with a good OS, this is a perfect phone for girls and boys.
if you want a professional phone,you could go for higher models like the bold series.
but yes, this phone is surely capable of handling all sorts of stuff.
no exact need of thinking and stuff.
do your research and if you wanna go for a blackberry,this is quite good.
people d say it has battery problems, but, its nothing like that.
rather,you just need to charge it once a day or once in two days.
the battery life is pretty impressive.

I didn't buy this phone through Flipkart, although they have a good pricing with the freebie.

Excellent phone with good features.
Pros:
1. Slim and light
2. Pretty decent construction quality (I have dropped it 3-4 times now and nothing bad happened. It works, no cracks or chips yet)
3. Beautiful 5 MP camera with good flash (although it is too bright for close-ups)
4. BlackBerry 7 OS is pretty smooth and fast, browsing is much better than previous versions
5. Screen resolution is great for this screen size (do NOT go for the 9380 which is a full-touch creen version with exactly the same features and also same pixel resolution for a bigger screen. So the 9380 clarity sucks!)
6. Facebook and Twitter integration is good
7. Email is as usual the best thing about BlackBerry, which continues with this model too.

Cons:
1. The optical trackpad makes a funny creaking noise when swiping up or down
2. The BlackBerry apps reallu suck, so not much use with this phone
3. No official LinkedIn app for use on this model of the phone yet
4. Battery is very small and lasts for less than a day with heavy use (like watching a few videos and browsing for 20 minutes a day, in addition to low to medium call usage)

I would buy this phone if I had to get a quick replacement for an older BlackBerryphone and don't want to migrate to any other platform for e-mail purposes. The higher end models are just not worth paying 30K for and this medium-level model has all the advantages of the OS 7 without breaking the bank for features that one hardly will ever use.
