Book Summary of Bombay Rains, Bombay Girls
When Adi – a small-town eighteen-year-old with a giant inferiority complex– lands a chance to study medicine in big, bad Bombay, he is overjoyed. Although plagued by the thought that his success is a fluke and hence ill gotten, he plunges headlong into the sights and sounds of this dazzling city.
Adi's initiation into college life isn't the most promising — a night of ragging by a bunch of sniggering seniors brings him and his equally vulnerable batchmates close to tears. But gradually, he finds his feet in the new world and makes friends with a motley crew: Pheru, Harsha, Rajeev, Toshi. It isn't long before they, and the rest of his class—much to his surprise, start looking up to him as a natural born leader. Somewhere along the way to accepting the challenge of this new role and learning the mysteries of the human anatomy, he also has his heart broken and falls in love — in that order.
Then, just when life is beginning to look good, tragedy strikes, and Adi gets caught in an emotional vortex he must struggle to make sense of. Are principles more important than friendship? Does a student of medicine have the luxury of fighting personal battles while patients' lives are at stake? Adi knows that it is only when he resolves these questions for himself that he will be able to hold on to all the things close to his heart.

The Book Gives you a hangover!
Read the book and i must say i simply had a hangover not just for a day or two but for weeks.....found the characters in the book so real and would have my imaginations trying to figure out how each character in the book would like! loved the joke with Princess Diana...every sentence and paragraph brought out in a lot of creative imagination of the author. Great Book...

Bombay rains, Bombay Girls ROCK!
Traces the journey of Adi (a boy from Ranchi) from a timid and confused small-town boy to a mature and confident young man 'growing up'in Bombay during his initial 2 years of MBBS. The humour in the book is fairly original and lets one connect to it. The ending is a little slow and flaccid but the overall feel of the book is great and leaves an impression on most people. There are various aspects touched upon during the course of the book through the friends Adi makes in college and they make interesting reading. A extremely worthwhile buy in my opinion.

Good one...!!
"Bombay Rains, Bombay Girls" certainly this is good novel. In my opinion story is predictable and there are hardly any surprises or twists in story however, narrating style of author is excellent hence he has succeeded in engrossing readers till last page and managed to make it 'different' from other love stories. Characters are portrayed with shear grace and one can feel them while reading.
Finally if you are a book lover then do read this book...!!

High Expectations and doesn't disappoint !!
I have loved Chetan Bhagat's Two States and also Durjoy Dutta's Ofcourse I love you.. and was expecting BRBG to be the same. Its actually a great Book from Anirban Bose, but to be frank the book starts losing its lustre as we shift towards the end. Completed it in one sitting.. The story is honest and simple though Mechanical Engineers like me might find it hard to understand some medical processes and words :D
