Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, widely known as Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, was an Indian polymath, economist, politician, and social reformer who lived from April 14, 1891, until December 6, 1956. He was a driving force behind the Dalit Buddhist movement and fought against social injustice against the untouchables (Dalits). Also, he advocated for the rights of farmers, workers, and women. He was one of the founders of the Republic of India, the very first law and justice minister of India after independence, and the father of the Indian Constitution.
