Buffalo 150Mbps Wireless-N Wireless Entry Model Router

First of all thanks to flipkart as the product was shipped to me within 3 days of placing the order, it was heavliy armoured within a box with small air filled polybags, so nice work there.
Coming to the router it works perfectly fine and has considerable range as an entry level router, Great build quality by buffalo,multi-directional antenna and 4 LAN ports! i'd like to mention that the firmware included with the router is really good and simple to use, can be easily used to provide high security levels using MAC address filtering, setting passwords and encryption standards is easy even for the people who are not too much into tech. So dont spend too much time choosing your first router, i say this IS THE ONE!

If you need better range go for more expensive ones as i dont think this would provide connectivity upto the 1st or 2nd floor of my house.

I bought this product and undoubtedly it is an amazing entry level model. Unfortunately for me the product had manufacturing defect which was figured out in 40 days after purchase. When i called customer care service center of buffalo they said the replacement procedure is as follows:
1. They will arrange a courier service for you for the pick of your product, which takes 3-4 days.
2. Once it is received by Buffalo service support it take 1 week for them to figure out the problems in your product and take decisions.In my case it was replacement.
3. The product which are going to be replaced,the issues are forwarded to Buffalo(Japan),and then the replacement products stocks arrives from Japan. This takes another 10-15 days. God knows what happens if there is cyclone or earthquake going in Japan.

Its been more than a month now I haven't received my product Buffalo.

Though a good product but no point in buying Buffalo's product with such a service.

This has to be one of the smallest routers around. Very small footprint. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
Yet it is up to the job. The wi-fi network can be setup in minutes with the help of the supplied CD. It also has good instructions to a web based setup interface. The coolest is the one button press WPS setup for the totally uninitiated. Decent range.
But as mentioned - it is an "entry level" router. Ideal for people who are setting up their first home wi-fi network and intend to use one device at any given time. Using multiple devices certainly reflects in the reduced speed. Certainly would not recommend as a media streamer- you may get away with it but that would not be the routers forte.
The biggest plus is that it can be configured easily as a wireless repeater bridge/range extender in conjunction with an existing wi-fi. It will extend the range of your existing wi-fi network. So if you live in a large home and there are some ares where the wi-fi signal falls off this comes in handy.

oh my god ! this product has just astounded me with its superb performance since the past few hours... i had been excited bout receivin this wireless modem to replace my dreary existence of the landline connection !!! and boy, was i happy to get it ???!!!

but my excitement sort of dimmed a little when after going thru the settings and apparently connecting everything according to the CD, the internet was still not givin in !! ..... but after going thru it a couple of times, it came through !!

trust me, this device has blown me with its power-packed performance and that too, for such a tiny device! I easily get 4-5 blocks of range even when i'm in my bedroom which 3 rooms away and the internet connection has just faster with this wi-fi modem ! I have bsnl "unlimited 750" plan which means that it gives me 512 kbps only ... but with this cute lil device , i am able to watch movies online at ease ~!!

i can go on n on ... but i think this should suffice to make u run to get this as fast as possible if u dont have a wireless modem !!!

Flipkart is the best in delivery. I purchased lots of product from flipkart. Having no issues in delivery. Whether I am in a Metro City or I sent it to my home (North East, Tripura, Agartala) which is very far from any other cities.

Product Details - You can put your internet (Airtel, Bsnl, Tikona etc) LAN cable into this router for internet. It also have 4 Ethernet ports in it. So you can use it with LAN cable also. Very good for multi-player gaming also. I used it in a big 1bhk room. In every room signal was high. It is very stylish also. Just open your browser and type 192.168.11.1 and start configuring your router. First time user id - root and password is blank.

The only disadvantage I found that when I try to buffer videos from other pc's connected in wi fi, this router goes disconnected. Dont know whether I missed some configuration or not.
