Good Product but make sure usb ports are proper and you have two usb slots next to each other
Well i used it right after i got the delivery. But first, i have a hp dv5 laptop with 4 usb ports,the drive didnt work on single cable for me so i had to use two ports(i.e power boost also), even after that it showed red light so i used the ports on other side and it worked. I burned a couple of discs and it did good. Then when i tried to install a game(original dvd) once again showed power shortage, i tried a few times more to make sure but it still didnt work, though all other movie dvds an...

Reliable and excellent..
I've been using an earlier model of the Buffalo DVD writer and its still running like a champ for the last 4 years. Buffalo is an award-winning American brand so you can rely on it...its even better than Transcend I believe.
This is perfect for your netbook...or your laptop/desktop if you don't have a DVD writer.

This one is best one i have used, i went with review but later i came to know it does not need two usb , can work with one usb also , two usb are given just in case your laptop or system does not give enough power to DVD writer or ur usb has weak power output , in such case u need to plug second usb which is additional feature where other brand fails to provide or simply give error message like transcend or samsung , But this one works awsome even in case of heavy data files.

Works on Linux
I purchased this drive and got to know later that officially it is not supported on Linux. Even the Buffalo Support team confirmed the same on phone.
I am using the drive on Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit. However I noticed I was able to use the drive properly using Nero Linux. For some unknown reasons K3B and Brasero did not worked as expected.
Nero Linux 4 available for Linux has a bug, a quick fix is available. Search for "[FIX] Multisession issue with Nero Linux 4" on Google. (Can't post a link here)

Best service by flipkart.
The service provided by flipkart is awesome, they say that the item would be delivered in 5 days but they delivered the item to me in 3 days only.
The product is good, but be cautious as it require more power to operate. If u have 2 simultaneous ports, which almost everybody have, then it is good to buy. Best for its price
Great product for its price. Got it for 1500. Works good. Connecting wires are bit small.. but its not a big issue... and Awesome delivery by flipkart. Just go for it....

The best portable drive in its class.
Buffalo gives a whole new meaning to the term 'portable' with this DVD writer. The integrated USB cable(s) are an excellent feature. Its looks are quite elegant as well. Overall, it's a great product that meets all expectations.
The software DVD given along with the device contains the trial versions. No paid license software is given with the product.

To all of you, using this site for first time.This people at flipkart are MAD i dont know how they do it. I ordered this product on 15Nov and it was delivered to me on 17Nov morning. Crazy man.
