Flipkart pricing is on the higher side for this product, so, didn't buy it from flipkart. Also, the mentioned dimensions and weight are for the 500GB model, for 1 TB it's 76 x 114 x 17 mm and 210 g. USB 3.0 cable is sturdy and approximately 0.5 meter in length.

Awesome One...
You will love it. its very much small in size. easily fits in your pocket . Data transfer is very fast . if you connect to USB 3.0 it shows blue color light and if you connect with USB 2.0 it shows green color light . i have received this with in 2 days of order. Thanks to flipkart .

The lightest so far
I have purchased 3 of them. Apparently it is Japanese (not Chinese) and in the beginning. It was priced over 6K and now i think it is the cheapest usb 3.0, lightest. Honestly i thot i was cheated with 500 gb drive because of its weight, but i have loaded 3 hard drives completely and have been using it for 2-3 months now. Seems like a brilliant product. The weight still baffles me. How can it be less than 175 gms for 1 TB. Welcome technology !!!

Ordered my 1TB Buffalo ministation 3.0 some 2 months back from flipkart (amazing service as usual) and have been extensively using it since then. Like i mentioned in the review title.. this is the best External HDD in its class.. totally worth a buy.. only thing that slightly bothers me is that the USB cord can be made a bit longer.. Baaki Sab First Class hai.. :)

A great product overall and I am happy that I bought it.
+ well designed and made in japan.
+ very sleek and lightweight.
+ noiseless but disk keeps rotating even when not copying anything?
+ compact and sturdy (though the back panel is not so tough).
+ slightly bigger than a phone and you can easily carry it in your pockets.
+ looks gorgeous in glossy black and blue/green glowing lights.
+ fast data transfer speeds when you connect it in a blue USB 3.0 port.
+ could not get USB 3.0 to work ...

Best in this Price range
The main advantage of this External Hard disk are:
1. Very light weight
2. Very Fast Speed
3. Looks fabulous also...
4. Not Heated up... (Even after long use)
5. I always keep it connected with my LED TV, found no issue (I am using this since 1 year now)
6. Even drop it from around 2 feet height by mistake, no issue..

As usual flipcart rocks.On time delivery excellent packing..Now coming to product its 465gb and not complete 500gb or 490gb as some of u might expect..But its small light weight and 25mbps speed on 2.0..Haven't tested on 3.0..All in all nice external hdd..Nice looks as well for those who r interested in looks..

10 months with my buffalo ministation!!!!!!!!!
well i thought off writing a review using for a while!!!! nd now it's around 10 mnths i bought this stuff... i am highly impressed with the performance of the HDD... i have never gone through any troubleshooting with this one... with usb 3.0 speed is around 100-110MB/s and with usb 2.0 have 20-30MB/s.... it's light weight, easy to carry...... bt it's prone to scrathes!!! i have all my stuff within hard disk and every day i uses it around 2-4 hrs... bt never produced sound while it's working...
