Byond B51

Anyone looking for an average android experience and not willing to spend ...This handset is of some Spreadtrum make, when u are powering the phone on keep pressing the high volume button continuously u will get to know, one thing that I noticed is that whenever u make/receive a call, the proximity sensor , located a little towards the right hand side of the front camera begins to blink

Pros:
Price as it’s a bang for the buck
Touch is super awesome
Looks decent enough
voice clarity on calls is above average
Even on the lowest screen brightness setting, it is brighter than my friends Sony Xperia S
Sunlight visibility is great even at a 40% brightness settings

Cons:
Internal memory shows only 200 Mb against the advertised 256 Mb
RAM Shows a total of 216 MB against the advertised 256 Mb
Scratch Guard and Case NOT easily available
Back cover, finger print magnet and gets very easily scratched
Not meant for people with butter fingers
Charging time long 4 HOURS I personally recommend using a Sony/Samsung charger
When connected to PC via USB, the touch screen gets extremely un responsive especially the unlocking of the main home screen
Bluetooth transfers to the handset are MISERABLY SLOW
Pathetic Camera, don’t even think of clicking in less light conditions
Battery even though a 1500mAh, the power management system is sad
WHO SAID TEMPLE RUN WORKS FINE

After few days of use here is what i find

This mobile rocks ...simply super

First thing
pro:
1. At this price u wont even find a computation for this mobile not even in karbon or micromax
2. 1Ghz processor is fast and no lagg
3. Touch screen is soo good like high end phones which cost more than 10k to get
4.Camera is gud in daylight + has flash and batter is ok
5.Can play all games i so far tested
death mote,temple run,fruiteninja,,ninja jump all runs finely
6.Staylish design soo gud
7. Has motion sensor and gravity thing so u can play games related to that

cons:
1. No 3g soo got to deal with its 2g speed
2. Camera is horrible in night even with flash
3. Low ram for bit high end games
4. Wont support HD video playback as it laggs
5. Low pixel per square means quality of screen images are bit low
6. After installing few apps they consume most of ram soo i started to lagg on few games
7. Takes around 4-5 hours to charge fully soo u have to put it on charge for whole night

Conclusion : FOr low budget andrio mobile just go for beyond u wont find its alernative in micromax or karbon even it can give tough computation to sumsang 6-7k phones

Full entertainment package with light gaming and gud video playback as u cant expect iphone in 3.5k :D

bought it from local retailer for 3,800/- as it was out of stock on flipkart

writing review after 5Hrs of use

phone is great!!!!!! really great!!!
installed many apps like, FB messenger, Google+, Whatsapp, network speed, battery, M-Indicator, quadrant BM tool, Tiny flashlight(pre-installed), ES file manager (pre-installed), super backup, youtube (pre-installed), my airtel, yahoo mail, Gmail(pre-installed), TrackID

some of above apps can run simultaneously
I must say, RAM management of this phone is excellent, UI is superb....nice fluidic animations throughout UI

some of the IMP points:

Internal memory :190MB (110 or 120MB free after starting phone, very good considering many useful pre-installed apps)
not bad considering still 60MB free after all the above apps installed, no lags so far...not even once

Camera : both cameras are OK....i can say satisfactory
flash does work good in darkness for closer objects, but being a fixed focus cam, details arent dat good when u zoom in
front camera OK i good lighting conditions

RAM : as per running services tab, total is 216MB
40MB may b reserved for system or GPU, considering total RAM of 256MB
just for ur curiosity, now free RAM is 40MB after multiple processes running (90~100MB free after first boot in factory condition)

Processor : as I said no lags so far
its ARMv7 but quadrant doesnt shows up CPU name but from the chipset ID SP6820 (but phone is having SP6820A) it is Cortex-A5 with Mali 300 GPU

CONS:
Doesnt have WiFi hotspot feature (only USB tethering)

Phone feels good in hand & looks great
I bought white one as black was unavailable
but it looks great too
Display is good
it's full white, including back-cover & screen hinges & a silver plating on all sides around the front glass screen
didnt explored music player & video player quality & output as i'm still setting up phone & accounts :P

It's available for 3.5k on flipkart.... definitely a worthy buy for extremely low budget android & for beginners ;)

I have never seen a Wi-fi like this phone has..
This phones Wi-fi sucks..
Every time when i connect to wi-fi it shows connected and signal is full but the data transfer does not happen unless i keep the phone above the modem and sometimes "No connection" error message is displayed.The data transfer speed is only 40-70kbps(which is less than the 2G speed) when the phone is placed above the modem and when i lift the phone data transfer stops and the browser loads for few mins and shows "No connection".

First i thought that there was some problem with my modem or ISP and i visited my friends house and checked it there but the result is same. My friend has a micromax a25 which works from a greater distance also(10mts away from the modem)..

Dont think this has a small issue without Wi-fi u cant
1.surf through internet at high speed.
2.cannot watch videos on youtube.
3.cannot make internet call as min 256kbps speed is needed and this phone does not have a 3G so cant make calls over the 2G..
4.cannot download any apps from the play store.
5.Finally there is no use of having android phone without the above features.

I purchased this phone only a week ago.
So i contacted the flipkart and they told that "U have purchased a Byond B51 which is a less prized device so but expect a long range Wi-fi"..

I am using this mobile since last 20 days as if now working fine no complaints like not responding properly,lagging while multitasking or hanging in between.
Over all Budget phone with decent config n good responsive touch,i purchased this mobile for my secondary usage bcz already owe a iPhone 4s.

Pros:
Good Touch Screen
Decent Config
Voice Quality is average also sound
Big screen 3.5inch feels like iPhone 3Gs.
Battery backup is good if ur not using net last 1.5 days
Surfing is also average.
Game play decent not so highend games.

Cons:
No Screen Guard and backup Cover in Market.
Back Cover is so glossy may sleep chances.
Camera is average.
Sound is average.
Ram is very Low 200 and Internal Memory is also low 200.

What i Suggest if you really don't have the Budget,This mobile will fulfill your requirement than go for it.
