Byond B63

Flipkart, first of all i would like to say "Love ya". I have never seen such a fast delivery, infact before time where i was promised to get this product delivered by 30th january and on 22nd january i get a call, "your product will be delivered at 7pm" and i got it even before time i.e. at 4pm. Hats off to you guyz...
Coming on to this product.
I have been using it for a couple of days now and I feel it is no less than the Samsungs and HTC's and Nokia's of the world. B63 would be a Game changer in the tier I and tier II brand smartphone space.
Features of the product:

OS: jelly bean 4.1.1. hooked up by looking at the features i ordered one B63 which i was really sceptical about,. but it lived more than my expectation. The only phone under 10k to be a jelly beaner. i have almost seen every phone from other brand and could find only this.

Display: qHD technology makes this phone super awesome. The 540 x 960 Pixels 4.5inch display has enough brightness to give itself good eyeballs.the ungrainy display is quite vivid.

Battery Backup: my use of a smartphone is Lots of Emails which drain the battery generally fast. 1 hr to 1.5 hrs - browsing the internet daily, 30-40 phone calls a day lasting 2 hrs, Softcore gaming, mostly angry birds or fruit ninja. The 2000 mAh power packed battery will not let u get frustrated due to frequent drain. From a full charge to just a 5% juice left in it still took me about 12 hours with doing all the above things.

Processor: 1.2 ghz means 1.2 ghz in this phone. This speedy 1.2Ghz dual core processor with a good 512 RAM did not lag a single time in 3days now. This is what is called seriousness about the product. there has been no tinkering with the UI and the processor. it is supoer smooth.

Screen: The 4.5inch capacitive touchscreen is feather smooth. Never i felt that i am using a product from this brand. you will never see any kind of disturbances even when playing touch sensitive games like fruit ninja.

Connectivity: perfectly tethered phone lets you excellently connect with 3G 2G and Wi-fi. i have used 3G and wifi on this which faired too well.

Camera: The 8mp autofocus camera and the 0.3MP camera surely made my day when i had a cool photo session with my friends. The 0.3mp camera should have been a little better but i could make fairly clear skype calls with that camera. The flash light is bright to take pics in the night mode as well. Another usage of flash is you can use it like a torch with some apps like Flashlight from playstore.

Memory: 4 Gb internal is quite less i feel coz the OS and pre installed apps swallow upto 1.5gb but then there is a 8Gb memory card free with it which could hold hundreds of songs quite a few apps and other stuff which consume memory.

Design: SUPERB, nowhere can you feel that it is an inch lesser than HTC oneX which is a 32k phone. fits perfectly in the hand and looks cool though. i personally loved the black colour. there is a volume rocker button at the side. A lock key above it and 4 capacitive touch screen buttons below the screen, one for homne 2nd for settings and wallpapers, 3rd for going back and 4th for search.

Price: The basic Indian mentality " Kitne ka hain ?" is justified perfectly in this price, what can you expect in a 10k phone with these mind boggling features. trust me guyz buy this once and you will yourself see this machine which is not cheap but "SUPER CHEAP"

Sound: Zabardast sound. play movies or listen to songs or sooth yourself with an fm radio, it will not give you muffled or screeching sound at any time. headphones given in it produce awesum sound quality.

other features: GPS, 3G, regional languages 5 point multi touch screen, Gravity sensor and proximity sensor are neatly packed in the phone. The leather case could cost you about 500 bucks outside which comes absolutely free of cost. there also is a screen guard along with it which saved me another 200bucks and an 8Gb memory card could have costed around 250bucks. So if you consider this way, the phone Costed me 1000rs less which means all these features in 9000bucks.

Guyz this is a true Value for Money product from Byond. I highly recommend this product to everyone who have as budget of 8k to 15k. Dont give any second thought to it. It is cool even for the females and it also has a show off factor for the college students. A must buy for everyone and of every age.

First I want to tell you that, I do not own this phone. I own HTC One X which costs 34K but one of my friend purchased this phone (Byond B63- white color) from local Pune store (not from flipkart) few days ago. Now after looking at this phone, I simply feel that, I unnecessarily spent 34K on HTC One X.
Byond B63 is just an awesome phone and it looks as great as HTC One X. It costs less than 10K, so surely you don't need to spend 34 K on HTC/Samsung mobiles.
The first look and feel was "wow". You are greeted with big 4.5 inch qHD display with very good resolution (540 x 960 Pixels). Remember Micromax A110 has much less resolution, so while purchasing phone, always look at the resolution. The display of Byond B63 is very crisp and colors are greatly reproduced. Very nice to see photos and videos. Its dual core 1.2 Ghz processor is sufficient to run any app in the market. (HTC One X has quad core but you will hardly need quad core processor). There was no lag in the screen and everything was working fine.
Another important factor is its 8 MP camera with flash is very good in daylight and reasonably acceptable in low light conditions. (Even my HTC One X gives poor photos in low light). Front camera can be used for video calling like skype etc. (On HTC, you don't get front camera even on 22K+ mobile).
Its 512 MB RAM is sufficient for almost any app so don't worry about it. (You shouldn't be running 3-4 games at a time, then you are ok with 512 MB RAM). Nice 4 GB internal memory. Call quality is good although I haven't tested much about call quality but no complaints on this. You can fit class 10 32 GB card and you are ready to store anything you want. Remember this is simply awesome phone so don't look further and don't spend unnecessarily 34K on HTC/Samsung.

It has been 6days since i have been using this phone and i feel this has got some good as well as bad features.
Pros:-
a) Build is good. feels stylish in hand and has a sleek design.lookwise it is very nice
b) Operating system is the latest Jelly bean.
c) processor is speedy. 1.2Ghz and 512mb RAM does justice to the product.
d) Screen touch is the best part of this phone.
e) qHD DISPLAY is a new concept in phones and the best part of it is that you get a crystal clear display to watch. I watched a few movies on this and they were pretty clear.
f) Sound is like a surround sound and it comes out in good flow.
g) GPS - I used GPS for going to my friends place just to test and it worked perfectly alright.
h)Camera: According to me, the camera is normal, photos are crisp but in low light it is bad. But what do you expect from a 9999 phone. Even some brands like xolo and samsung in this price range doesnt give you this clear picture than this. But trust me the camera will do justice to your money. If you want a super high quality camera then this phone isnt for you.
I) 3G works pretty smoothly.

Cons:-
Camera:- The only feature i found that may not be liked by many, but i personally feel it is a good camera and at this price point its justified.

We unexpectedly purchased this phone from local shop Pune. Initially we wanted to buy Samsung Galaxy Ace for 10K but when we went to shop, shopkeeper suggested to look at this Byond B63 phone as well. He was kind enough to open the box and allow using it for 5-10 minutes. After using it for 5 minutes, we dropped our idea of Galaxy Ace and straight away bought this phone.
The phone looks and feels very nice in hand. The display is super smooth with qHD resolution 960 x 540 Pixels. Absolutely no lag anywhere. I installed few games like Angry birds, Shoot the Apple and it worked well. Live wallpapers like Zen HD, Koi free and Celtic garden also worked well. Its processor dual core 1.2Ghz is absolutely powerful for all the games/apps. I don't know which GPU it has, but every game worked well.
Some people say 512 MB RAM is not sufficient, but I never found any lag in any game. It all depends on how the RAM is being utilized by OS because even Windows XP PC can run fine in 512 MB RAM. Android Jelly bean OS is very stable and smooth. No crashes, hangs etc.
We tried GPS for some time and it worked quite well in showing us route.
Camera quality is very good although not excellent. Flash can be used as torch which is very handy. Front camera quality is not so good but I don't mind it because I hardly need to do any video call through skype (although it worked well). Internal memory is 4GB which is sufficient for apps. I added 16GB Sandisk card.
It also has Marathi, Hindi and other languages support which is good. In browser also we can see regional languages without any problem. 3G and WiFi worked without single issue.
It has light sensor useful for automatic brightness. Some Samsung phones don't give you light sensor which is very annoying at the time of night. Music quality is good with earphones. The battery backup (2000 mAh) is well above the expected limit. It lasted for almost 30 hours with normal usage (few games, music, 15-20 photos by camera, 3G, Gallery usage etc). To make long story short, its the phone for which I don't mind paying extra 4-5K. For 10K price, nothing can beat it.
Pros- Display quality, Rear Camera quality, well working GPS, battery backup, music quality with earphones, 4GB internal memory, super smooth jelly bean OS, stable OS with no crash, hangs, Dual core 1.2Ghz with powerful GPU, Free case, regional language support
Cons - Front camera not so good

Shipment/Delivery:**** - First time buyer on flipkart. Ordered this product on 27 Jan and was given 31 Jan. Due to a delay by the courier guy got on 1 Feb. No probe with that.
Packaging:** - Not neat and shabby packaging. Like one of the earlier feedback the screen cover has lots of scratches but my screen was fine.
Exterior Build Quality:*** - Looks neat with a protruding camera. Some people may not like it.
Interior Build Quality:* - The finishing inside the phone for battery is pathetic. At first I thought is it an actual or demo piece!
Camera:*** - OK not bad but not that great.
Display:***** - Awesome. This is one area which over shadows other drawbacks!
Speaker:*** - A single speaker which is just audible.
Battery - Just charging for the first time for the past 4 hours. Hence no feedback.
Touchscreen: ** - I faced issues. Sometime had to touch multiple times or the touch happens at a different location. Could be since I'm using with the default screen cover (not screen guard).
Performance: *** - Performance is fine but the 512 MB ram makes a joke of the 1.2 dual core processor.

Personally a 4.5" phone is not comfortable for single hand use.
My piece has an issue with the backlight of the back button and would be going back.

Overall value for money. Don't expect Wonders!
