Published in the year 2011, Can Love Happen Twice? details the love life of the protagonist Ravin, after he is left heartbroken due to the death of his first love.
Summary Of The Book
Can Love Happen Twice? is the sequel to Singh’s previous book, I Too Had A Love Story. It starts off with Happy, Manpreet, Amardeep, and Ravin having to attend a radio talk show called Raat gayi, baat baki in Chandigarh, on Valentine’s Day. However, Ravin does not show up that evening. Later that evening, word spreads about Ravin’s girlfriend’s death in a road accident.
This event leaves Ravin completely shattered, and he spirals into depression. He then decides to opt for an onsite job in Belgium, in an attempt to divert his mind from this great loss. He wants a change as the same surroundings remind him of the dreadful event that took place in his life. Things take a turn for the better during his time at Belgium, where he meets Simar, who is pursuing her MBA over there. Her hostel is just a stone’s throw away from Ravin’s office. They begin to bump into each other on a regular basis, and Ravin begins to feel a sense of attraction toward her.
After getting to know details about Ravin’s past relationship, she finds him extremely romantic and caring, while Ravin thinks everything about her is cute. After working there for 10 months, he needs to go back to India, and the two decide to get married. Simar lands back in India, and Ravin goes to meet her parents in Gurgaon. However, Simar wants them to live in Belgium, away from his parents. Does the couple patch up or is it going to be yet another heartbreak for Ravin?

Sorry to say...it is a mediocre book!!!When I ordered this book from flipkart, I really had some great expectations from the author, considering his previous book "I too had a love story" was such an amazingly touching tale of love. But,I am sorry to say that I am thoroughly disappointed with this new venture of his which merely seems to be an attempt to encash from the past success and acolades. There is nothing creative, new or intersting about this book, it is the same old story which goes pretty much one track and gets to cleache at many points in the book. Here is what I feel about the book

Is this the same author who wrote "I too had a love story"?I remember, when I started reading I too had a love story it was such a page turner. It made me so emotional in the end. Expecting that the next book too would be a gripping one, i was waiting excitedly for the calender to show the date 15th of Dec, when the book would be released. Thanks to flipkart to deliver it to me the same day. I started with great exhilaration. But it dint last long coz as the story moved to Ravin and Simar it felt like I am reading a Mills and Boons. The innocence and freshness which was there with Khushi was missing. I am still half way through, and reading with the … (Expand)

Sick of reading the same stuff again and again (rating rejected)I finished this book just a couple of days back. The story is stale and I can not make out what does the author wants to convey. I doubt if Ravin(the character) is actually a human being because the way he behaves for a girl is hard to digest. After the success of Chetan Bhagat there has been a row of Indian writers who wants to join the same league and even try to copy his style of writing. But unfortunately most of these writers fail to write a story in which you can see yourself. For example, 'Can Love Happen Twice?' tells you about a boy who is mentally unstable and can not live without a … (Expand)

Love will not happen even once...forget about happening twice...borrow it to read it....don't buy itCan Love Happen twice is an OK book....It stands no-where if compared with Ravinder Singh's first book. The beginning of the book is quite baffled. For some time you don't even realise what actually is happening. I somewhat find the beginning like the movie 3 idiots where Madhavan is thinking about Aamir Khan and the movie proceeds in flash back. In this case the flashback story telling is done in a radio station.

A pure , true and heart touching story i read everAs we all have read the story of Ravinder Singh which was a true love story and was announced bestseller, we so much excited to read Ravin's (sorry khushi madam for calling Mr. Ravinder only Ravin) LIFE. I tell you it was amazing because we also have lost hope that now Ravin has to be alone for whole his life but He introduced Simar and I would admire his friends WHO HAVE PUT A GREAT ENDEAVOR for his friend and prove that it is not about only family member can think for … (Expand)
