Description

Can’t and Won’t, authored by Lydia Davis, is a brilliant collection of her extraordinary short stories. They bring out myriad emotions from the most ordinary moments in life, which could otherwise go disregarded without a perspective.

Summary of the Book

Lydia Davis has been unanimously acclaimed as a great story teller of contemporary times on an international stage for her jocularity, vision and genre-defying strict ingenuity of her iridescent stories. Can’t and Won’t is a brilliant collection of short stories like A Story of Stolen Salamis, A Small Story About a Small Box of Chocolates, Letters to a Frozen Pea Manufacturer, and Can't and Won't. All these stories revel in and cope with the joys and limitations of language - achieving each time the unparalleled meticulousness which makes Lydia one of the greatest present-day writers.
