Along with the idealistic Melinda Wheeler, and ineptly aided by a pair of elderly party workers, Jack embarks on a quixotic venture promising the voters he will tell them nothing but the truth. Yet the campaign trail is strewn with booby traps. The mayor's aide is Jack's romantic rival for the lovely Melinda. His once benevolent uncle now hates him. And as his improbable campaign picks up steam, there's the biggest problem of all about Jack's truth telling honesty. What if he's lying?
