The Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM is a telephoto lens designed for SLR cameras. This water and dust resistant lens has construction of 23 elements in 19 groups, which includes 1 fluorite and 5 UD elements. The lens has 8 diaphragm blades and maximum viewing angle of 34 degrees.
This telephoto lens has focal range of 70 - 200 mm and maximum aperture of f/2.8. User can use this lens with any camera compatible with Canon EF mount. Weighing 1,490 g, the lens has dimensions of 88.8 x 199 mm. The Canon lens has maximum magnification of 0.21x and can optically zoom up to 2.9x. The filter attachment size of the lens is 77 mm.
Ring type USM auto focus motor and inner focusing system is used in this lens gives closest focusing distance of 1.2 m. The lens supports auto focus as well as full-time manual focus. This Canon lens also features an optical image stabilizer, which allows shutter speeds up to four stops slower.

Bought this product after much research.. was planning to get the earlier version of this but then when this one came I was hooked on to its clarity.. a must buy for any serious photographer.. thought a bit heavy, its performance is the best in the lot..
