Canon EF 75-300 mm review
Aug 26, 2015
I already have 55-250 IS. But had to buy it because of my 35mm Film SLR (Canon Elan 7e), Otherwise it is utterly useless.

Warning!! No IS - blurry photos - you will need a tripod - get 55-250 instead.Only recently i was in the market for a telephoto. And 75-300 and 55-250 were the only ones within my budget. By the look of things you get an extra 50mm ... translated to 80mm in a crop camera like my 500d... and you get it cheaper. While looking at both, the 75-300 even appears more rugged and smart. so why? yes!! IS (image stabiliztion). 55-250 comes with IS while 75-300 does not. Canon lenses are known (and rightly so) because of IS, and here we have one without it.

Doesn't stabilize imagesLens takes long-distance snaps with high clarity. Zoom equivalent of 300m would be 16.6x. But unfortunately you need a tripod (or a super-human steady hand) along with this product. Otherwise, your images blur - as this lens is not equipped with an image-stabilizer.

Worth For SureGood in-expensive Zoom Lens, Very smooth focusing. You will be excited when you use it on First Day, second day you may be disappointed, more Practice needed to capture good pics as it doesn't have IS. Use Breathing Techniques & Work with the Good Shutter speed accordingly... F8 is the good aparture point

Good lens but no IS need tripod...Using the lens for quiet some time. The picture quality is good. But we always has to be careful not to be shaky while taking snap especially when taking distant shots.

Value for moneyits a real value in terms of price...nice zoom and good aperture. compared to Temron n sigma it has good shutter speed...only drawback is Image stabilizer...weight is also not bad. low price nice quality... overall thumbs up for this product...

not recommendedVery soft lens...not good at all. Better go gor 55-250 mm with IS which has much sharper results. Good for learning though.

An amazing buy for the offer price, but IS is a big miss! It's a great lens for the price which I bought. However, it's good to have Image Stabilization, which would be a great advantage on high zoom shots. A tripod can help to good extend though.
