Although I didn't buy it from Flipkart, I want to write a short review here. I am an enthusiast photographer or so I like to think. This is a very versatile lens with a great range of focal length. I have this lens along with the "nifty fifty" and of course the 18-55mm kit lens on my Canon EOS 60D and I dont feel like I need any more lens at all, well maybe another macro lens wouldn't hurt.
Autofocus is reasonably fast on all focal length and the lens feel absolutely sturdy albeit a bit heavy. Be careful though, fitting this lens on Canon 600D or any other xxxD series might make the camera very front heavy when fully extended.
Now the drawbacks, At the wide end there is a very pronounced barrel distortion. Shooting landscape is acceptable, just don't shoot people at 18mm focal length. There is also pronounced Chromatic Abberation/ fringing at around 50mm.
One thing worth mentioning is that at 200mm focal length it produce a very beautiful round BOKEH, much much better than the pentagonal BOKEH of 50mm prime lens.
Even though I don't mention much about the pros, the main pros is the versatility. Just fit this lens on your DSLR and you are ready to shoot anything everywhere and I am really nitpicking on the cons. This is the lens to have if you are going to have just one lens. GREAT GREAT LENS.
