The Canon EOS 1100D is one of the finest economical SLR cameras in the market today. The multiple features in this camera are quite supportive for those who are relatively new to SLRs. This entry level camera is also powerful enough to capture some truly impressive images across a wide range of lighting conditions.
Sensor Technology
The DSLR camera is equipped with a powerful 12.2 MP APS-C sized CMOS sensor that can capture more detail and light than other, older sensors. This is also highly useful when you want to photograph subjects along varying degrees of lighting conditions that also require different ISO settings.
Auto Focus
This camera can also focus on 9 different points as seen through the view finder. Aiming each point along the focus line allows you to even get differential focus when using the Auto Focus feature. The images will not have the perspective and depth of field though they will still be uniquely focused along the 9 point cross type AF system. The system is also incorporated with the Eye-Level Pentamirror for better photography.
Flash Forward
When using the Auto Mode, you can also get the flash to engage automatically according to the lighting conditions outside. This is possible with the light sensor as well as the auto scene detection present in the camera. When the lighting conditions are less than adequate, the flash pops open and fires when the shutter is released.
Layout and Intelligence
The system sports a new look with the body being incorporated with a whole new, redesigned control layout. The system uses the Scene Intelligent Auto mode effectively to gauge the lighting conditions. The layout on the other hand makes it all the more easy to control the camera across a wide range of circumstances and also allows for easy access to most if not all the commonly used control settings.
