Body
The Canon 1100D weighs 495 g and has a comfortable grip. The DSLR has a dedicated button for video recording and flash which lets you switch without any delay. You are also provided with a Q-button which instantly takes you to the menu, where you can tweak the camera settings. This Canon camera has a bright pentamirror viewfinder which lets you frame your photographs accurately and also helps conserve the camera's battery life. The 1100D digital SLR camera also has a 2.7 inch TFT color LCD with a 230, 000 dot resolution which is very helpful in Live View mode.You can use a SD, SDHC or SDXC memory card for optimum storage of your shots. The Canon EOS 1100D SLR camera works on rechargeable Li-Ion LP-E10 battery with a capacity to give you as much as 700 shots per charge.
Performance
The Canon EOS 1100D lets you experiment with several lenses as it is compatible with all EF and EF-S lenses. The focal length range of the 1100D SLR is 18 - 55 mm, while the aperture ranges from f/3.5 - 5.5. This DSLR camera has a fast and accurate 9 point TTL phase detection auto focus system, thus giving you sharp images every time.Dimly lit subjects can be captured with minimum noise and without resorting to the flash by changing ISO, bulb and shutter speed settings. The ISO range of Canon 1100D ranges from ISO 100 - 6400, while shutter speed ranges from 1/4000 - 30 sec. Alternatively, you can also use the pop-up flash or add an external flash via hot shoe to brighten up your subject.

A unique feature of the Canon EOS 1100D SLR is its Feature Guide. This intuitive mode helps you hone your skills, as the 1100D SLR offers descriptions on the camera settings, buttons and effects. You can also play with several scene modes like Close-up, Sports, Night Portrait, Creative and many more.The Canon DSLR has an anti-static coating on the sensor as well as a software based dust removal system in place, which helps increase the durability of the camera. The self-timer function of this DSLR lets you delay the tripping of the shutter for up to 10 seconds. In Continuous Shooting Mode, the camera shoots 3 frames per second making sure you never miss a moment.
The images you shoot get saved in RAW or JPEG format whereas your videos are in MOV format. Enjoy your pictures and videos on the big screen by connecting the Canon EOS 1100D to a HDTV via the HDMI port. You can also connect the camera to your computer or laptop via the high speed USB 2.0 port.

if u r a photo freak n u wanna hav low budjet .... then this 1 is truely n awesome 1 rated best by best photografy magazine ...equipped wid a nice lens but if u wanna good zoom u need to buy a other lens

* Flash less powerful than on previous Canon entry-level models
* Slow continuous shooting in RAW mode
* Spec-sheet a little weak compared to entry level Nikon

Canon EOS 1100D DSR
When I decided to purchase a DSLR, the brand was of primary concern to me, Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Minolta have been in the imaging field for many years and you can blindly depend on their products in the digital era too.
I am amazed by the controls and superiority of photos with the auto function. Mastering the full controls will take me a lot of time, Going thru the manual gives us info about lot of these controls.
This is just an entry level model from canon in DSLR, but still so good at this excellent price. You cannot expect anything else from Canon, nothing but the best !

Great cam to start with...!!!
After lot of cross checks i zeroed in on this product... canon.. brand speaks for itself..!!
Price was a little tricky thing when i looked around for other options.. like showrooms in my city and other e-commerce portals.. but some had good deals on price but Flipkart was more reliable.. considering my previous orders with Flipkart.. none the less This indeed is a great product to transform from " taking photos " to " Photography" ..!!

Its actually very simple to use, and the photos come mind blowing. I actually started as a Novice, and now I am moving to be a professional on same camera!
Though the original Lens is not that powerful, but it works the trick for initial learning.
