The camera needs no review! Its tried,tested and recommended by experts in the field. Am just an amateur photographer and so far my experience with this camera has been wonderful.

Flipkart goofed up on the delivery. But having had wonderful service from them before, I wouldn't really rate them down. The free bag isn't upto the mark. And the tripod is really sturdy.

After doing my research on pricing, I figured out that Flipkart is cheapest (across online and offline). Placed my order on Tuesday evening and got it delivered on Thursday afternoon. Ten on ten for the following:
1. Packaging
2. Timely delivery
3. Freebies

I wanted to place an order for 600D, but figured out that it is just 550D swivel LCD for another 10.5k. I did not want to pay so much just for an additional LCD feature. So I ordered 550D. Flipkart rocks!

I needed a DSLR with wide-telephoto requirements and my budget was not more than 50,000 INR. Browsing through Flipkart, I zeroed in on this model which has a 550D body with 18-135 mm lens, a free DSLR bag, a 4 gig SD card and also an awesome tripod. I like this camera ( little amateur but in budget, got it in 2 days but due defects in the cmos had to get it replaced.
CMOS has some err 80 beware ... that's a dead end.
the replaced camera works fine. could have just bought body and saved on another 5k-6k 18-55 is useless its the lowest a canon can get :P although it has IS
... camera is pretty poor at higher ISO... works just fine at lower ones..actually amazing...
17.9 MP is just a showoff...
video mode has auto ISO which will annoy you...

Flipkart, I must say, is the best site for online purchases in terms of service. I got my delivery within 30 hours of order and manage to use it for one of my outings. Packaging was excellent with cash on delivery.

A good camera from the stable of Canon. Got it delivered within 3 days of placing the order. Freebies included a Tripod and a 16 GB Card apart from a Camera Bag and a 4 GB Card offered by Canon. To my mind the Tripod is of huge benefit if someone interests in serious photography.
