Canon 60D vs Nikon D7000 - Factual comparison

There is no point saying "I like Canon or I like Nikon". Facual reviews are always better.

I am trying to list down few of them - I am sure there are more. If personal comfort (like holding the camera or looking at the label "Canon" or "Nikon" makes you happy), then this review is not for you...

Here are the advantages of Canon 60D over Nikon D7000

To the gentleman comparing the 60D to 5D

I'd just like to point out that the 5D is a significantly more expensive camera than the 60D. The 5D Mark II is about 1 lakh 20 while the 5D Mark III is 2.5 lakhs. One is semi-professional designed for enthusiasts, the other is a professional level one, the real deal with everything plus the kitchen sink thrown in. Why bother comparing apples to oranges.

I've used this camera quite a bit and I have to say this really is one of the finest kits Canon ever came out with. It's like this hits the...

excellent camera

I had 4 requirements from the DSLR I wanted to buy
1. Articulated/Vari-Angle LCD screen(I had this in a previously owned camera and I will never buy a camera without this - it is VERY VERY useful) - this eliminated all Nikon models and 550D. The only choices were 600D and 60D

2. Good battery life (I use live view (zoomed) for good manual focus and for this, good battery life is a must). This eliminated 600D as an option - it has a bad overall battery life. On the other hand, 60D has LP-E6 ba...

5 reasons to choose Canon 60D

This is my first DSLR – and a after good 3 months of carefully reviewing all the Semi Pro and Upper-Entry models – both Canon as well as Nikon. Reviewed Bogs, videos, visits to shop and checking the models out – finally I preferred it over all. If you go by specs by specs – well, pundits would advice you some other model [I mean Nikon d7000 :)], but with all due respect, here are my 5 points of choosing this over ALL:

1. The design and ergonomics – it just felt right in hand – both the gri...

Awesome one..

I have used Nikon DSLRs say D5100, D7000. Being SLR they really provide good picture but the clarity and dynamic range stuck somewhere. Canon is far better as far as color depth and clarity is concern; EOS 60D is a great one provides outstanding image as well as video. Although AF point is very few (9 AF-points) if compared with Nikon D7000(39 AF points) still autofocusing is faster with respect to D7000. Over all it’s a complete package, you won’t ever regret if you buy this one. Also the pr...

Value for money DSLR for beginners

I am a beginner in photography and after an extensive research for a first DSLR, I zeroed on to this body. The obvious consideration set included Canon 70D, Nikon D7000 and D7100. But as my review title suggests, Canon 60D is the best VFM body in this category. The flippy screen is an add-on for video shooters, grip is perfect for man-size hands, battery-life is one of the best in this segment, compatibility with almost all Canon EF and EFS lenses opens up plethora of options. I mostly use th...

This is one of the best DSLR's in the Canon Range

As a successor to EOS 50D it downgrades in body type. Like exclusion of magnesium alloy body and use of polycarbonate resin instead makes it lighter but also less sturdy. Apart from that it is a marvelous DSLR having the same 18 MP crop sensor as in the higher end EOS 7D, with 9 crosstype AF system which works decently well in auto-focusing. This camera is better built than the rebel series and feels more solid in the hand with a good overall grip. ISO sensitivity ranges from 100-6400 and noi...

Best camera

I bought this camera 2 months back (Dec 13) which is recommended by an amateur photographer. The camera result is fabulous, lot of options and adjustments, still I am learning. Single lens serves both wide angle and telephoto. No need to change lenses for our requirement. Video quality is amazing. Who are all interested and beginners in photography can buy blindly. Then thanks to Flipkart for prompt delivery with proper packaging.

The Best!!

To write much about this camera is not sensible because no matter how much I write, it will always be too less. To experience the power, flexibility & quality of this camera you have to use it yourself. So, if you are thinking of buying a DSLR, don't look any further just buy Canon EOS 60D and you will not regret it at all.
By the way... always been a fan of Flipkart's commitment to delivery time, and this time too they made sure they delivered it before time!! :-)

Great camera with excellent image quality and Full HD Videos with 24fps, 25fps and 30 fps. Burst with 5.3 fps. The 18-135mm lens gives you the required focal lengths for day to day shooting. Autofocus is good with 9 cross type.
