Canon Lide - 110

This was the cheapest scanner available so i didn't have much hope for it, but i was pleasantly surprised, this scanner is quite fast for its price, in my testing i could scan documents and photos

300dpi B/W 15 seconds
300dpi color 15 seconds
600dpi B/W 15 Seconds
600dpi color 34 seconds

all scans were full size, i.e. the whole scan area.

Completely satisfied with the product. Scans photos to amazing clarity. I am 51 years years old. When I scanned some photos of my childhood, I could see some amazing details which I had not seen in 40 years. The let down was I found that many of the photos taken during that time were out-of-focus! The software that comes with it gives you a multple doc option. When scanned in this mode, the software crops and straightens the photos! This was an unexpected bonus. I highly recommend this scanner.

I am using it for 3 years as it was the lowest priced scanner at 3100. Till now not a single complain!!! It uses LEDs for light source as opposed to bulbs in HPs. So it lasts long without any drop in quality of scanning.Bundled software is easy to use. However selecting a drive/location for saving the scanned image/pdf is not very easy (win 95 style interface).

Very durable product.Price is also very reasonable.

My son is preparing for IITJEE 2016 exams. I have bought lot of reference books to help him for his studies. I got an idea to make all those books in soft copy for easy reference. Then I had explored lot of scanners. Based reviews and CANON's brand value I had finalized Canon LIDE 110 scanner. I have been using since last one week. Its performance amazing and serving our purpose. I recommend this scanner for anyone who are looking for similar purpose.

I ordered this after seeing the reviews of 2 scanners here. One was HP and other was Canon, in this price range.

Now, I dunno why the reviews criticize the HP one, but this is every penny worth it.

I had to scan my docs, photos and many more and the scanner provides a wide range of dpi.

Second, I can't compare it with any other product as I haven't used nything else, but I find the scanner easy to use.

Lastly, the delivery of flipkart is as fast as ever,, lightning fast. :)

The software bundled in the CD is extremely useful for scanning multiple documents as one file, while the buttons on the scanner help for a speedy scan.

The clarity on snanned photos is simply amazing, and perfect for digitizing all those old family albums.
