Capdase HR00-CA01 Universal Racer Car Mount Holder Black

The Capdase Universal Car Mount Holder is an excellent product. The suction lock is very strong and holds firmly onto the dashboard (as long as it is a smooth surface) or windshield. The iPhone4 fits snugly into the unit. Tested the holder on a long drive (running Sygic MapMyIndia SatNav App on an iPhone4s) through some bad potholed roads and neither the suction cup not the phone came loose or fell off. The neck bends fairly easily but at the same time is stiff enough so that the position it is set in does not alter with jerks and jolts. It is also not too long, which would have caused it to sway around a lot on bumpy roads. The unit also a lot cheaper than most similar products. Excellent quality - Highly recommended.

Ordered it for my Galaxy Note and received in just 2 days. Loved the quality of it. It can be used for all phones sizes from Nokia 5800, Iphone, S2 to Galaxy note. I guess u can fit up to 7 inch screen size in it but anything beyond that will be difficult.

The product feels sturdy and built to last. The suction cup is good and holds firm on the windscreen.
Unfortunately that's where it end. It just would not stick on to the dashboard. It is not meant to, why show the product picture in that position. Also, the foam/rubber grips on the side 'handles' came off within two weeks of use. That is really NOT expected from a decent brand of product.

You should be able to insert and pull out the phone with enough tension by the side holders to prevent the phone from falling out of the holder, unless the holder itself is in a reclined position. It took less than two weeks for the protective foam rings on the sides to come off one by one.

The tension of the grip of the side holders should not be an excuse as I definately do not want a 40K phone popping out of the holder the minute you go over a hump or a pot hole. The only alternative would have been to recline the mount somewhat and loosen the grip. But again, you would have to mount the holder on the lower half of the windscreen. I cannot do that since it block the vision when my wife is driving the car.

finally:money wasted as the mount is not being used

Capdase's car dock is an excellent product for people looking for a reasonably priced good quality car dock. couple of things you may want to keep in mind before picking it up.

1. regardless of how the display image indicates, it sticks "effectively" only on ur wind screen, and not on ur dash(suction cup, its basic physics). read the instructions and it'll explain the same.

2. it requires a bit of patience which is to say 5 sec and some common sense to place/remove the phone from the dock itself as the lock release button is on the back surface of the phone clamp. if u yank it out, it will tear the inline sponge that grips onto ur phone, not to mention scratch the phone body in the process.

Merits:
1. the suction cup is really strong. once placed correctly it stays in place regardless of the rally cross style driving u may be doing.

2. the arm has the right level of rigidity to it to prevent it from unnecessarily bending.

Demerits:
1. the lock release button could have been placed slightly better for easier access, which is a minor gripe at best.

Flipkart Service:
they have been doing a bang up job. their packaging is excellent, and speed of delivery is shocking. i ordered this product on 18th March, 6 PM. And got the delivery on 19th March, 2 PM, thats less than 24 hrs folks. but that may vary from place to place. i'm highly impressed with the efficiency of their operations. and expect nothing less from them in the future as well..

This is my first ever car mount. I always found cheap plastic ones in physical stores, but going by the positive reviews on Flipkart and the brand name, I ordered this one, and I couldn't be happier.

The build quality - plastic, cushion, lock/grip, and suction - is brilliant. I have a small car, and the ability to adjust the mount helped me fix it on the windshield to place the phone below the rear-view mirror.

I have a big 4" phone - Samsung Omnia 7 - and it fits perfectly. The phone grips nicely, and the joint rotates so that I can use the phone in landscape mode while using a GPS navigation app on the phone.
