Caroleen

aOld things are passed away; behold, all things are become newa is the scriptural definition of the Christian experience. These words become the hope of Caroleen, a teenage girl whose life is plagued by questions about her past. Knowing neither father nor mother, Caroleen is reared by an eccentric aunt who treats her with cold contempt and continually denies her any information about her early life. Later, Caroleen learns just how cruel her intentions toward her really are. Despairing for her life, she flees by night from her home into a dense forest. Here she meets a man whose unique relationship with God convinces her that God loves her and wants to share in her daily life. Fortified by the strength of her new faith, Caroleen confronts her aunt, discovers the truth about her past and becomes living proof that, to the Christian, all things do indeed become new.
