Informations that you need to know
This telescope does not provide 180x magnification readily.I learnt this thing after I received this product.The containing box says maximum magnification that can be obtained is 75x.Then whats the 180x thing?

Not good as expected
I bought this Telescope one month ago after comparing with other scopes this one was under my budget and also the zoom mentioned on the Flipkart site seems impressive in this price range, but after using this from last one month it doesn't seems to be 180x scope.

For absolute beginners and aspiring astronomers
This is a very beginner scope.Those who do not have prior experience in telescope handling would be grateful to it. I have bought it two months ago and after spending a good amount of time with it , now I would like to review it.

its gud enough for newcomers. I hav 10 x 50 binoculars then I bought this one.intially cumbersome to use, but once u r used to it,then fairly easy.moon with craters is beautiful if u give enough time for observation.Jupitor with its four moons r easily visible in clear night. no details of jupitor can be made.Saturns ring is difficult to appreciate but with constant effort and fine tuning urself and ur telescope u can appreciate flat disc of Saturn with central bulge.i have made videos of Sat...

good one for beginers.
The celestron first-scope is a very basic telescope. The maximum zoom available in the pack is 75 X. Flipkart showed the product as 180 X which is misleading.Request Flipkart to avoid such false description.The telescope is only capable of 180 X zoom but the shipped model does not have the 180 X zoom lens.
At best the telescope is a binoucular where you can see the moon in good detail and more stars than the naked eye. I could see the jupiter and its 4 moons but they appear like a faint star....

Good beginner telescope.
I have a 8" Dobsonian telescope about 5 feet in length which I don't feel like lugging out to watch the stars whenever I want, so I invested in this telescope to just put in the balcony and watch something of interest when it shows up in the sky. After collimation, I have used it to see Jupiter which is in the night sky now and am able to see it's bands pretty clearly using the supplied eyepiece (though there is some rainbow effect on them) and other eyepieces that I had invested in for the b...

Before I state my review I would like to mention that the review of the product should always include "Value for Money" consideration. Though both Maruti 800 & Jaguar are cars they have different specifications and price range. With this thought let me begin:

Amazing Performance
I bought this from my nearest optical house.Actually I ordered for it.It is a fabulous telescope for adults as well as children because it is easy to use.I recommend this.You can spot and see saturn along with its ring clearly.However it is of no use because telescope becomes too shaky even in normal wind but it is good product at descent price.
