The board is actually awesome with slightly dark patterns on rosewood and creamy white color of box wood actually makes the board suitable for both black/white and brown/white pieces as well. Bud rose wood pieces may not look well but who cares. This board initially came with defect of dents on its face and a broken rook (white) and when prompted Flipkart made no delay in registering and replacing the entire set with another one and the new set was without any defect.
