Book: Children And Television The book, Children and Television, argues that television plays a central role in the lives of children. Unlike going to school, doing home work or chores at home, TV viewing is a voluntary act. The greater the number of hours of exposure to television, the more children come under its influence. By and large, parents do not seem to be aware of the importance of giving to their children their quality time. The book establishesq that qthe qmore parents are available to their children, the less these come under the influence of peers or television.
