She reported from across China for the Hindu and Indian Express in addition to teaching English at the Beijing Broadcasting Institute. She currently lives in Brussels with her husband, son and two cats.

Light and Entertaining
A story of contemporary China narrated in the alternating voices of two cats. This must be one of the cutest books I've read in a very long time. Fable-ish in its style, the book grips you and entertains you till the last word; while also bringing out the ironies and intricacies of life in contemporary China. Sometimes, the book wanders into Alice In Wonderland kind of philosophy, still never being too dark or difficult to read. You could read the entire book in one evening and replace it on your desk with a smile. I would recommend this as something different and refreshing. It is not entirely a children's book and can be enjoyed by young and grown up readers alike.
