Erran D'al did not think he was special on his home world of Vorsa. If anything he was just a middle-ranking knight among the nobles. His only real ambition was to marry his childhood sweetheart and disappear into domestic obscurity. But, on his way home from a trade expedition, something happened that would change him, and the course of his life, forever. A battle with a familiar foe, the Moora, uncovers a resolve and purpose that he was unaware that he had. However, there are also strange forces at work; and these, together with his ability to motivate those around him, begin to get him noticed. To aide him in his quest he is led to an ancient weapon with mysterious powers. But is he compelled by his own convictions, or is he being coerced?
