Though less costly, it is a very good product. Compared the result with a mercury blood pressure monitor, almost similar result was yielded. I had to buy another one for one of my friend. he is using the instrument and is very satisfied too. The feed backs from others who have used this type of instrument, it is important to have batteries charged

Have purchased two of these monitors, the second one through Flipkart for my sister-in-law. Readings appear to be quite accurate. Whenever I checked the pressure on the monitor & immediately there after on a standard mercury sphygmomanometer, the difference between the two set of readings was not more than 3 mmgh which is in line with the specified parameters.However, it is very important to replace the batteries well in time as otherwise the readings can go haywire. It would therefore be prudent to, as I do, take the readings on your monitor & immediately there after on the mercury sphygmomanometer at your friendly neighbourhood pharmacy/drugstore, once in a few months.

I would definitely recommend this product.The fact that it is manufactured in Japan adds to the confidence in the product.

I bought this for Rs.1249 which is about Rs.150 less than the market value.
The On switch is big and very soft. So what happens is that whenever I put it back ( after use ) into a polyethene bag it accidentally switches on. It took me a few days to get adjusted.
This model does not have a DC-IN socket, so the only way to power it up is with 4xAA batteries... I have/use rechargeable ones, so not a big deal.
The arm band is slightly bigger than other competing products.. therefore it accommodates my slightly over-sized arms comfortably.
The display is single line only, so it flashes the result alternately between sys + dia & pulse.
I guess this product is "Made in Japan", which is a definite plus for any electronic product.
Over-all: I like this product - The readings for sys + dia are consistently correct, but I would not depend on the pulse rate shown by this instrument.

Its a good product, its the only one with a Japanese label among a plethora of Chinese products so you kind of feel a little better, the build quality is pretty good, have been using it for about 2 weeks now and find the readings to be accurate enough, variation as compared to the manual mercury based models is always there in all digital monitors and this being no exception. Have been comparing the results with a buerer wrist monitor which i also have, the results are consistent and fairly accurate.

After using this bp monitor for four months i found it absolutely showing correct reading, hence i purchased recently another one presented to my elderly relative. it gives correct reading as long as you follow manual instruction. This i cross checked with mercury instrument which i am using since three years, but this one is very easy to operate without help.
