Summary Of The Book

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is conducted by various law universities in India, for admission into the most reputed law schools in the country. The book serves as a guide to the students undertaking the exam. In the beginning of the book, there are solved papers from the previous years that give an idea of the level of difficulty of the examination. The first CLAT was conducted in 2008.

CLAT 2013 Common Law Admission Test begins with the chapter Legal Aptitude. This section has information on contract law, criminal law, tort, legal maxims, legal GK, and conventions and treaties.

Also covered is the Indian Constitution with an overview of all its components like fundamental rights, directive principles of state policy, preamble, constitutional, citizenship, important posts of the President and the Prime Minister, emergency provisions, and Indian federalism.
The examination also requires good command over the English language. The book contains topics like sentence improvement, cloze test, one word substitution, idioms, spotting the error, phrases, and antonyms.
