Book: Code Name God

The split between man and maker has long been widening, and many acknowledge that the wedge is science

Is God dead? Are religion and faith merely opiates of the masses? Is science responsible for driving a wedge between man and his maker? Till about four hundred years ago, belief in divine power dominated world thought. With developments in science and increasing philosophical scepticism, man appeared to lose faith in God. But science itself has proved to be a false god, leaving in its wake a disillusioned and despondent mankind.

In Code Name God, Mani Bhaumik, one of the pioneers of LASIK, the technique that made corrective eye surgery possible, demonstrates how both spirituality and science are essential for human beings and how one can strike a perfect balance between the two. The author, who as a youngster lived in Mahatma Gandhi’s camp, details his incredible rags-to-riches journey and his equally remarkable search for meaning in life, which make for a motivational saga as he strives to achieve the golden mean between science and spirituality.

Enriching and inspirational, Code Name God provides a simple and easy-to-understand scientific approach to faith and God-realization.

‘The author’s personal odyssey … in the attempt to find common ground between Eastern spirituality and Western science is eloquently told and makes for fascinating reading.’—Fritjof Capra, author of the best-selling The Tao of Physics

Book Reviews of Code Name God
*Everyone must read "Code Name God"
Review by Amit Banerjee
It is a book which should be tasted by everyone who wants to know some relation between God and Science. The writer has builded a bridge between world of Science and Spirituality. After reading this, one cannot be blasphamous and must change his\her idea about the secrets of creation, because behind every creation of science and nature there is a hand of some unknown power, we may call it God. The book reveals that the Theory of Quantum Mechanics, had it's origin from the sacred book of the Hindus, The Vedas. We had very subtle ideas about the connection and gap between Science and Spirituality but after reading this one can develop a strong feeling.

I thank the great man of Science Mr. Mani Bhaumick, for writing a book like this and eradicating many misconcepts, i as a normal man had between God-Spiritualism and Science. I also thank the publisher for bringing out such a masterpiece. It has scattered some light on me and created some faith to think in a different way.
