    Investment classic

Philip Fisher is one the the pioneer in the field of common stock investment. One can say he is the first one to specify how you go on to find a good company.

Though Ben Graham and Warren Buffett are often linked together and every one knows the influence Graham had on Buffett, few know Buffett was influenced by Fisher's writing. Though Buffett never met Fisher he had great respect on his method.

    King of Qualitative Analysis

If Graham is the king of quantitative analysis, then Fisher is the king of qualitative analysis of stocks. Read this book if your aim is to gain several thousand % in the long term by concentrating on few outstanding firms with excellent management. (For example, one could have gained more than 9000% by investing in GRUH Finance ( a subsidiary of HDFC) when it was a small firm in early 2000s)
The book will help you to find future blue chips. Fisher's investing philosophy is focused on invest...

    Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits

I was basically searching for exclusive book "Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits" hich was then out of stock. The book under review is 3 in 1 and made very short. Phillip A Fisher is one of the legend in the field of investing. Warren Buffett describes himself as "he is 85% Graham and 15% Phillip". Book is undoubtedly good and good for small investor as well but with some knowledge.

    Not for a small investor

I have read many reviews which say, this book is classic!! and what a great book!! . i mean, all this is fine, but can you say, information provided in the book can implemented by a small investor, the answer is NO. For example, it tells us to talk to people working inside the company and also vendors, competitors etc. to gain knowledge which is not available to general public. Then after doing that go and talk to the management of the company to understand the weakness and strength of the co...
