    Confessions Of A Serial Dieter is the author’s weight loss memoir. It tells the reader about her secret on reducing her weight from a 100 kgs to an astonishing 60. It is a humorous account of her journey from the age of 4 when she did not know the meaning of dieting to the time she realized how being fat or thin is perceived by others.

    The diets in the book are named funnily like The Champagne Diet, and The Wedding Diet, and are structured in a manner similar to the episodes in her life, complete with anecdotes, characters and pieces of weight wisdom. It takes the reader along with the author on her weight loss quest trying out different methods ranging from surya namaskars set to Bollywood tunes and drinking coconut water.

    Writing in a style that is simple and accessible to all along with the author’s personal touch, Confessions Of A Serial Dieter has the author sharing her secrets from more than 40 diets to different workouts that helped her attain a weight that she was finally happy with. It also debunks the many myths associated with weight loss and the emotional issues accompanying it. The author also presents to the reader the darker side of the so called “Dieting Industry”. The book also contains a few recipes along with their calorie count.

    About Kalli Purie

    Kalli Purie is an Indian author and businesswoman.

    She attended the Modern School, New Delhi. She later graduated from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. She has been associated with the India Today Group since 1996. Starting off as a marketing executive she currently holds the position of Chief Creative Officer. In 2011 she also donned the role of the Director of India Today Conclave. She presently lives in New Delhi. She is a mother of two children and a self-confessed chocoholic.

    To be fat

    I like this book not as a diet book (I would never follow any of these bizarre diets) but as a memoir. I bet this book took lots of guts to write and publish. If the aim of the author was to motivate the reader to really take their health seriously, I think the book really works. It also reflects how much we associate ourselves with our bodies.     This is not just a diet book. Though it will give you great tips on how to shed your excess kilos - some are sensible, some are not.     A "how to do" book and not just a "what to do" book.

    This book is very nice book. The author Kali puri has shared her life till now and the diets she did at every stage of her life. Many diets are very good and can be followed to loose weight in a healthy manner. Though some diets are recommended not to be followed one of them being the champaign diet and a few more.     A giggle with each turning page.

    Loved her journey of it all. Makes for an inspirational read :)
    The yellow tinge, her snaps and the cute work of graphics add to the experience !
    As very aptly said by her, " Been there, done that " she brings in a 'worth-trying' ray in the lives of those struggling with weight issues as the dieticians or the nutritionists who vouch for the same have less chances of BEING in the same bracket as us.

    Fantastic Book

    Really a gr88 effort by Kali Puri. Book is nowhere boring and written by heart. When i started it, i thought it would be a serious book but i was wrong. Even i laughed at many places.

    I am also a big foodie. But it is tough to give Kali Puri a competition in eating and as well as in dieting. Hats off to her for her serious effort of choosing this subject as her first book. Really loved it :)

    Simply njoying..though just half way the book

    This is my book these days. Her diet plans were amusing to me specially Dr McCarn Nugget:) Hope i got the name right.     Loved the book! Don't think ever read anything that

    actually talks about the psychological aspects of having a

    body that you don't want... Can't be compared at all to all

    those books written by professional diet doctors...they are

    so dry! They just don't get it. Kalli Purie's book is like
