Corporate Dividend Policy

In this study ajudgment sample of 59 companies was chosen belonging to four industries namelyGeneral Engineering, Cotton, Paper and Sugar. The various dimensions examined inthis study relate mainly to examine the trend of dividend behaviour of thesample companies belonging to the above four industries through the prospectiveof profit dividend relationships and divided payout ratios of the samplecompanies and to identify and determine the relative significance of variousdeterminants having a bearing on the dividend policy decisions of the samplecompanies with the use of some known regression models.
