Corsair DDR3 4 GB Laptop RAM (CMSO4GX3M1A1333C9)

Bought tthis RAM for ASUS K53SV 520D laptop, which also I bought from Flipkart.
Asus comes with the top notch 'Elpida' 4GB RAM, & its best combo would be this Corsair. I have been using Corsair since 2007, so bought it for the quality, performance & if any failure - best Customer Care/RMA.

Bought it from Flipkart, cuz just like Corsair they are 'Quality' oriented company, the packaging for this single RAM was very very good, a 6"x4"x4" box.
Their price maybe a little high, but its justified in the packaging & courier service.

& its a PC10700 RAM, below is the CPU-Z screenshot.

Recently bought 2 nos. for my mac-mini (mid 2011) (which previously had 2*1GB DIMMS)
Its an economical upgrade as opposed to the ones offered by apple, so far its working well without any issues.

I HAVE A DELL XPS L502X INITIALLY 4 GB RAM
WHILE PLAYING NFS HOT PURSUIT WHEN I TRIED TO SHIFT TO FACEBOOK CHAT IT TOOK LONG AND SOMETIMES EVEN HANGED.
SO I ORDERED A RAM OF 4 GB FROM CORSAIR...
NOW,
1. I CAN EASILY SWITCH FROM NFS HOT PURSUIT / MODERN WARFARE 3 TO ANY NEW WINDOW OR BROWSER... WOW !!!
2. EARLIER THE RAM USES WAS 100 % SOMETIMES ... BUT NOW VIRTUALLY MY RAM SHOULD GO ABOVE 50% BUT I THINK THE PARALLEL PORTS WORKS WELL AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN MY RAM USES ABOVE 44% ...

2 RAM OF 4 GB IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN SINGLE 8 GB
SO ALWAYS GO FOR PARALLEL RUNNING RAM THAN SINGLE

3. CHECK THE FREQUENCY OF THE INITIAL RAM AND THE NEW ONE TO GET BEST OUTPUT, ( BOTH SHOULD BE SAME)

If you want a VFM RAM for your laptop for photo editing/heavy processing/gaming. You got to have a corsair RAM. Though GSkill RAM is known for its durability & quality but is more expensive. After that comes Corsair..IMO which is what I would prefer before Transcend/Kingston.

Its simply matchless in terms of cost & performance!

My current laptop specs:
Intel i5 2.6Ghz/1x2GB Nanya RAM (preinstalled by Dell)/1x4GB Corsair RAM/AMD ATI 5650M 1GB (n total incl. shared = 3k+ MB :D )

Current set latency: 9-9-9-20 & Freq.: Dell down-clocked to 1066Mhz (system dependent!)

As usual Flipkart's delivery service was prompt and customer care is too awesome!

Now I hate to go to the market and talk (more of head crunching) with that shopwalla. Save transportation money (lol petrol prices are sky high :| )

My advice for buying products: > Search on net > find lowest rates > compare with flipkart and then order.

Corsair is a fairly trust-worthy brand in the Computer Components category. I bought two nos to upgrade my Fujitsu laptop with 2GB to 8GB. I was looking for a well-known brand and Corsair is from the same stable as Crucial, Kingston, ADATA that are considered pretty reliable when it comes to memory modules.
To be sure, I ran memtest immediately after installing the RAM and found that a lot of failures were being reported. I kind of expected this as my research before purchase stumbled upon a few posts complaining about memtest failures. However it also seems to be a problem with the memtest suite although I do not have any data to back that up.
I chose to ignore the failures and went ahead and all is well - my Ubuntu and Mint distros both show 8GB of installed memory. I couldn't check it in the BIOS/UEFI settings because of the firmware lockout from my Ubuntu EFI installation.
As a side-note, I was initially looking for module kits to get the best performance out of the dual channel configuration. However no such kits are sold in India and at last, I resorted to buying two items of this.
