Corsair VS450 450 Watt PSU

as usual(sigh...) excellent packaging and delivery from flipkart.
this psu is massively heavy so be sure to fix it onto your rig securely.cant seem to fin any cons to this other than the weight.

runs my c2d e7200 + ga g21 s2l + xfx ati hd 6770 + 2x2Gb 800mhz +dvd r/w + seagate 500Gb + seagate 250Gb rig well.

its ridiculously quiet when running without a graphics card.its so quiet have to double check if its on.handles the grafix card well. no issues so far

the wires are all covered in a nylon net-ish material so cable management is easy.there are no stray cable ruining the look and obstructing air flow

there are 6 cable bundles coming out of the psu:
*24 pin to mb
*4 pin to mb
*1 sata 2 molex
*1 sata 1 molex 1 floppy
*2 sata
*6 pin pci e straight to gfx card.

total 3 molex(4 Pin Peripheral Connector),4 sata, 1 floppy ,1 ATX Connector, 1 EPS Connector,1 PCI-E Connector,

only con i ca find is the power cable.it has rectangular (block)pins.get a cona splitter(50/-). the cable is fused so try using the supplied cable and not the power cable from your previous psu.happy gaming. ^_^

i havn't bought it from here but i recommend all the readers to buy it from here because flipkart is always best in the terms of pricing and services.
i m using this corsair vs450 from 2 months and i am totally satisfied with this amazing product.
this psu is a dual rail setup, providing 360w at +12v which is enough for high end cpu and a mid range gpu as i am using it on an amd phenom ii x4 955 be (125w) and an amd radeon hd 7750(55w) with 2x4 gb ddr3 ram and 2x500 gb hard drives.
my gpu is not a power hungry gpu but you can also use amd radeon hd 6770 or nvidia gtx 550ti in single mode(not in crossfire/sli mode)...

pros-
1. extremely silent.
2. enough power (360w)at +12v to satisfy the needs of a medium rig.
3. price is really good for a 450w psu.

cons-
1. it is a dual rail setup so there will be always a hassle of balancing the amount of current across the two rails specially when you will use a mild power hungry gpu like hd 6770 or gtx 550ti.
2. corsair has released this model only for asian market (india and china)as a result it only support an input of 240v so if the voltage drops down then the psu shuts itself down because of under voltage protection.
3. the mains cable provided with this model is of no use so you will have to buy your own mains cable.

Bought this from filpkart and the service was as usual flawless and bang on time! The PSU is perfect for moderate gaming especially when you do not have a power hungry GPU. I have a MSI RADEON 6670 with 3GB ram and a AMD ATHLON II X3 445 processor. The PSU is completely silent and doesn't break a sweat even on heavy load like gaming and all games run smoothly without having any power related issues. Moreover the nylon mesh provided over the wires makes it easier for plugging in the PSU and there is no problems with the wires getting messed up. Some recent games that i have played on it are:

Hitman Absolution
Therefore if you have a graphics card that does not require more than 400w then this is the perfect choice to go with!!

As expected from corsair this PSU can just handle anything.
It is the best option for latest Graphic Cards and is compatible with any cpu.
Currently I'm running C2D E7200,4gb ram,HIS HD 5670 1gb gddr5 graphic card and the cpu is just running great.
The Positive Points of this Psu are
it Runs silently.
The wires are neatly arranged inside a nylon cover which makes it easy to identify the required cables.
It is very much cool than other PSU's.
it is very cheap so go for it.

The cons are
it is a bit heavy approximately 1.2Kgs
The power cord pins require an adapter to plug into power supply

Overall it a good branded power supply and is must if you are upgrading your pc.

Ordered from Flipkart, and the received it in couple of days. The packing was too good and it took around couple of minutes to open it. PSU looked amazing and it works fine n its too silent as compared to my old PSU..

This is one of the best PSU available in the market and if u are a gamer, this PSU would surely fit your need and 450 Watts is what a gamer actually requires. This PSU has also got all the connectors along with 6 Pin supplementary connector which is required by most of the high end graphics card these days.
