Great SMPS. Fans are slightly annoyingly loud during gaming

Have a system with a 6 core AMD 1090T overclocked to 3.6GHz and a Radeon 6950 2GB overclocked. Both these components tend to draw a lot of power. The combined wattages of both the components are in excess of 300 wattts at overclocked gaming. However, this SMPS is able to reliably provide the required power. One of the important criteria for a SMPS is the amperage on the 12 volt rail. A good gaming rig will require atleast 40 amps on the 12 volt rail.

This SMPS can provide upto 50 amps on th...

Efficient Power Supply Unit !!!

I mainly bought this PSU for my new AMD Radeon R9 270X 2GB Boost & OC Dual-X Edition,as this card requires a power supply of 500-600 watts. This PSU delivers an efficient performance with no any remarks. It can sustain heavy load even when both of my CPU and GPU is over-clocked.This PSU is capable to provide the required power for my GPU and coolers. The power cables are well insulated to prevent cuts in wire. It's fan doesn't make much noise even at maximum load. Some of it's features like low vo...

best value for money

this is a very good product for the money.
I'm using this for my z97-A asus mobo with i7-4790k and no graphic card at the moment.
I'm getting decent OC from this as I'm using stock cooler I'm currently hitting 4.6 with synced cores with no voltage fluctuation whatsoever.
But having said that this is an entry level enthusiast psu, so if money is not a constraint get cx or better series. wire management is an issue. don't get me wrong this does ALMOST everything that cx does but I'm sure this ...

Budget gaming

650 watt PSU from corsair, perfect for gaming. If you are running on a tight budget and want to spend some more bucks for a better graphic card, this PSU may help you. It is silent and is able to supply 650 watt constantly. R9 290X is running perfectly on it.
It only supports 220V input that is why it is not 80plus certified, otherwise corsair guarantee 80plus efficiency under load.

Veteran's Review (after using for 1+ year(s) )

Brand Corsair is already met with its specifications as I just checked and used it for more than 13 months and found how very smooth hardware set up it has, no heat sink ,no sparks ,no set backs or under-performs were counted, if one wants for a decent electric supply to their rig they must go for it .The investment will always look up to you.

my ratings A+
