Counter Strike: Global Offensive (PC & MAC Compatible)

Note- this is the solution fro the people who didn't havfe the cs:go beta !

1)go to steam library when you have activated the game.
2)right click the cs:go bar, choose delete local content and confirm it.
3)now on the page on top bar click on steam>settings>
there must be an option "Change" For steam beta participation, if "NONE-opt out of all beta program" is chosen then change it to "Steam beta update". click ok. steam will restart and update.. it will take approx 5 minutes.
6)when steam restarts, enter the disk. run setup. install the game 2.1gb of the game will be installed from the disk now.rest you have to download. :( i too had to but this worked! enjoy! and please don't criticize flipkart.. it's not their fault but publishers!

Log in to Steam and click on Library.
Right-click on the game, select Delete local content, and confirm.
Insert the first disc into your computer.
Close Steam (Steam > Exit).
Press Windows Key + R to open Run
In the Run window type:

"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -install E:

Replace E: with the CD/DVD drive you are installing from if is not correct.
Replace C:\Program Files\Steam if your Steam installation is not in the default location.
Press OK. Steam will launch and ask you to sign in if you do not have your password saved. Your installation should continue from the disc.

About the game installation:
Dont worry as some people say that game is not in Disk at all.
Here are some things I noticed during installation.
1. Inserted the disc. Run the application. It started installing steam client probably.
2. Second step i activated the game through steam. Remember u need to have a steam id. So create one first.
3. Then followed the instructions provided by another user i.e. Open steam, click on LIBRARY. Right click on the game name. Click on properties. Click on Delete Local contents(this may be inactive incase u r installing for the first time). Then click on steam->setting. Under the Accout tab(which should be selected by default) there should be a change button for Beta Participation. If "NONE-opt out of all beta program" is chosen then change it to "Steam beta update". Steam ll restart.
4. Now under LIBRARY there should be a button available to install. Click on install.
5. Installation ll start now. But at this point i was expecting that 2gb ll be installed from disc and the remaining through internet as many people are claiming the same. But i noticed in the status bar which was on the top left corner. I was displaying 60% untill it starts downloading from internet. And that is wat exactly happend, it quickly installed more than 3gb before it stopped. After it installs the componets from disc it gets the remaining from internet.
6. From what i understood i think its the update it is getting from the internet. which u r expected to get time to time.
7. Now depending on ur internet connection it may take few hours. After this process is done now there should be a 'PLAY' button available under the LIBRARY tab in ur steam. Click it and it ll do the first time configuration and game ll run.

About the Game:
The following r the things i notice quicky about the game.
1. I was reading through the comments posted here. As many said about its Graphics, its cool!!! atleast lot better than cs:source. Environment, Guns, Players now behaves more as real.
2. As somebody said it allows only 10 players. Its not true atall.
3. I think there is no flash light that u have in ur gun in cs source. Also no silencer. But guns are cool.
4. Over all its great. Get ur copy soon n start playing.
Remember there r many advantages of playing the original through steam. Which i experienced for the first time. One of them is much better Ping.

Honestly guys, counter strike has always been so addictive. Cs-Go has given me another reason to bunk the office work. Anyways here's my review

> Dvd was just for keeps stuff. Absolutely useless. I could have purchased this game online from steam. 3.5 GB download after installation. I didn't even see a single bit of data being copied from the dvd. There's some work around but they are useless. At some point CS-Go will insist you to download the update. Fortunately I have a high speed service and was able to download/install this game within 1 hours. But what about others. Steam should have thought over this before publishing the media.
> I didn't find the AI of this game to be as good as CS-Source. I was able to unlock 23 achievements within 40 mins of gameplay. Didn't try the multiplayer yet. But I'm sure that will be insanely challenging.

My Judgement :

People with slow access to internet, please upgrade or buy a faster plan or please be patient enough for few hours/days for this game to download. If you don't buy retail media then online purchase is the next option which will put you in the same track.

System requirements is somewhat equal to requirements for CS-Source or may be a little bit more. I don't think most of us will find any reason to upgrade their system.

Okay first of all this game is tasteful delight to every CS player who liked CS: Source, it's like a 10 times improved version of CS: Source. Alright let's start the review!

Pros:
- Great improved aiming + realistic weapon recoil.
- L4D like private/public lobby system, i.e. bye-bye hackers!
- 4 Game modes including - Classic Casual + good ol' Competitive mode.
- "Immersive" graphics.
- Revamped classic maps, plus a handful of visually stunning new maps!
- Decent bit of new weapons and grenades.

Cons:
- Uses a lot of CPU resources.
- Needs a more than decent graphics card.
- No customize-able LAN server creation...unless you use console to customize map settings etc., duh!
- No save-able weapon presets like in Counter-Strike: Source, i.e. always browse the menu to buy weapons other than F1(Default) and F2(Previous buy) presets.

Overall rating 4/5, and as we all know VALVe patches their games a lot frequently, so possibly they'll make the game play-able on low-end systems as well.

All said and done game is worth buying for Rs.700(15$) _if_ you have a decent graphics card, otherwise compromise with epic high-res textures and play on low settings, which still looks neat even on low-res!
