Courting Cassie

Cassandra 'Cassie' Keaton is a single mother with three children, one bi-racial. She struggles to put order in her life. Enter her landlord Randall Court who is used to fixing his family's problems. He befriends Cassie's son, Michael when he gets into trouble. Cassie opens up her personal life to Randall but he remains guarded about aspects of his life. When he defends her during an incident at her waitressing job at a local bar, she begins to think he has truer feelings. Randy invites her and her two oldest children to his brother's wedding and reception. Randy gets her a job and she invites him for dinner with her family. When she is embarassed by her family and he fails to keep in contact with her she becomes disheartened that he was scared off. Randy realizes that Cassie and her family have become a huge part of his life and he must decide whether or not to continue the relationship or miss out on family life.
