Cowon iAudio 10 8 GB Video MP3 Player

After searching for this player everywhere in Bangalore & Delhi I was over joyous when on Cowon's official website I found out that flipkart offers it in India. Though it was my 6-7th buy from the Flipkart, it's been my most awaited product. Flipkart delivery was fast as always. Thumbs UP to that! :)

I bought this player 2 months back and ever since I use it daily for about 3-4 hours. And from my experience I can say that this player is only for those who are in love with their music and all they expect from their music player is crisp & clear audio. If you looking for a do-it-all device, then better go for iPods. I have also tried sony's walkman (same price range), they sound equally good but they lack one great feature - "jetEffect" with BBE sound.

Earphones: The bundled earphones do not do justice to this player but offers a decent sound quality (for the price bracket of the player). Though, paired with a nice set of earphones, this player sounds amazing and is fun to use with jetEffects. :)

Audio Formats: The player offers a wide range of audio formats which is good but if you are a fan of mp3s (lossy audio format); Do NOT use mp3 files with bitrate below 320KBps. Since this player also supports FLAC(lossless audio format like apple lossless format), it is a BIG [+]. Though! the 8 Gb space is not adequate if you want to listen FLAC format and have a huge library.

Body: Because of the glossy body, it is very much prone to finger-prints and smudges. But mine is white, so they do not show up much on the back pannel.

Ergonomics: The ergonomics are very nice and it feels good to hold in hand and is lighter than iPod Touch (because of plastic body).

Screen: The screen may not have very high resolution; but, is very vibrant. Everything looks good on it.

Applications:
Layout: I especially like the layout of the applications - the fact how everything is presented - from icons to the menus, fonts and colors (which can be changed according to your mood and its fun to do so)!

Radio: Radio is also good and you can also record your music from radio.

Document Reader: Since, Document Reader only supports .txt files it is of not much use.

Picture Viewer: Picture viewer is good and pictures look crisp on the bright display.

Videos: Videos again look good on the screen. Also supports DivX - that is a plus over other players.

Recorder: One can record voice and radio also. Though I never used this feature!

Built-In Speakers: Added speakers (at the back) offers very tiny sound. It is only good if you are listening your music in a lonely room at night. These could have been better.

Content Transfer: There is no need for any special software to transfer content from PC. It is as easy as copying content from a usb flash drive.

Battery Life: It is pretty decent. It lasts for about 3-4 days on a single 2 hrs charge with minimum screen brightness which still bright enough to see in daylight and 30 secs screen-off setting.

Overall, this player is good bang for bucks. My most sought after features of it would be JetEffect & Color Therepy. For me, its better than any iPod till date and any other music players in the market I have tried so far for this price range (considering music quality only). I would recommend it to anyone who loves his/her music. :)

I have brought this player on Flipkart, as my "Certified Buyer" badge suggests. The service has been good. I found FlipKart a great place to shop for things which otherwise you wont find in your city. I have roamed around my city for a shop which has good collection of MP3 players, none of the shops contained any good collection. Its great to have Flipkart offering a comprehensive set of options and a lot of convinience.

Now about the Product.

1. It gives a natural and endearing sound. Very realistic sound production. Better than pods and walkmans. I have tried both of them. Ipod is not bad, it has good sound, but it feels unnatural and tinny. Sony has a lot of enhancements, and sounds very good. But the amp of sony is 5mW. Cowon has more powerful amp. And very clear sound.

2. Very Classy. Has a lot of different concepts in this phone. I liked the touch pad and stuff. The screen has low resolution, but looks very good.

3. Radio is good.

4. The Sound Effects that come with this are really good. Lots of customizations and settings. You will be very happy with what it can enable you to do.

5. Design is good. The product is light.

Conclusion:
Buy it if you want a great sounding device with a medium memory. It does not have apps, and stuff. If you want apps and stuff, and wifi etc, go for touch. Touch is not bad. Go for sony if you want good sounding device with lesser sound setting options.

I was really shocked after i used it...b'coz i had sony and it really impressed me a little...ok talking abut iaudio10 now...

Goods things first....
1.huge sound settings and options and it is speechless.....
2.huge screen for pmp.....
3.worth for money....(8gb memory + lots of sound settings)
4.bbe,bbe+ sounds goood.... and uncomparable with other players....
5.touchpad is a advantage for pmp....

Bad things now....
1.plastic body looks cheap quality.....
2.huge screen 3inch....(huge screen but no touch screen its suuucks..!!! mannn....) but low resolution....
3.earphones supplied not best for this player(need some common sense for cowon company), sounds low quality....
4.sounds impressive....by features but, after using it not so impressive....

i bought this product from flipkart and must appreciate for there service again
however when u come to the product its give u good sound but its controls are bit confusing (Its just matter of tine to get used to it ).. many features of this felt like copy of apple and sony...so over all 4 rating
