Design
The sleek looking Cowon J3 features a 3.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16:9 aspect ratio and 16 million color support. The glossy display screen is complemented by a brushed metal finish edge at the bottom. The buttons and slots are spread around the sides of the device. The J3 player is fitted with a G-Sensor for auto rotation of the screen.The right edge of the Cowon player features the play/pause button, the forward/back track keys and the volume rocker. The left side houses the power key that also acts as the lock key. The bottom panel of the J3 MP3 player stores the 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB and TV out slot and the microSD card slot.
Battery and Storage
Under the hood, this portable multimedia player from Cowon houses a rechargeable Lithium-Polymer battery. You can charge the device by either plugging in the USB cable to a PC/laptop or using a conventional power adaptor. The battery gets fully charged in 3.5 hours through USB charging mode.On full charge, the battery serves you a continuous music playback of up to 64 hours. This lets you go unplugged with your Cowon J3 for a long time without worrying about the battery support. With video playback support of up to 11 hours, you can watch back-to-back movies even on the go.
The Cowon J3 ships with 16 GB of internal memory capacity. You can choose to expand the memory of the player by inserting an external microSD card for your ever increasing list of movies, songs and images. So with a vast amount of storage space available, you are freed from the need of deleting items from your player to make room for new ones.
Functions
The multi-format supporting feature of this Cowon MP3 player makes life easier for you and saves you from the trouble of file conversions. The player supports MP3, WMA, OGG, APE, WAV, FLAC (audio), AVI, WMV, ASF (video) JPG (photos) and TXT (documents) formats. You can listen to music either through a headphone jack, Bluetooth headset or turn the it loud via the built-in speaker fitted on the back of the J3 music player.For those of you who prefer watching things on the big screen, the Cowon J3 does not disappoint. It comes with a TV out cable which you can plug into your TV and view movies and images in higher resolution. With this Cowon device, you can plan a karaoke night with friends, thanks to its lyrics display support.
Audio enhancements include 5 band equalizers, stereo enhance and reverb effects, and BBE+ that let you enjoy your music at the highest sound quality. The high speed USB 2.0 lets you transfer files from your PC/laptop very easily and quickly. However ensure that your system has Pentium III 500 MHz or higher CPU and is run on Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000, Mac OS 10.x and Linux v2.4 or higher operating systems.

let me tell you why to own a cowon , its becoz nothing accept the color fly dec cum player can beat this when it comes to music playback and with enormous customization to music , even the color fly loses too .. and everything loses to its music playback time ..
ipod can give you all , but not music , it has Extracurricular , not best in the thing its made to do , and j3 sticks to what its made to do , music and video play back , and amoled in front ? ipod expensive and non expandable , i own the j3 32gb , instead of going for a ipod i will like to get the samsung i9003 ..
get this and lose yourself in music , for games , wifi , chat , tell me why you own a mobile ?
One of the best MP3 playe
This is one of the best MP3 player even better than Ipod or Itouch. It also supports Flac and memory can be increased with micro SD card. Only downside is the user interface, that is not very easy but can be learnt within a day or two as it is totally icon based. I purchased 16 GB model from Flipkart. The service of Flipkart is excellent. Anyone wishing to buy a MP3 player in Rs 10,000/- range should definitely buy Cowon J3.

Anyone suggesting this is not a good player Or suggesting an Apple iPod over this... is just out of his/her mind.
This is by far the best thing out there.
If you are looking for a good music player, and not some gimmick, excuse of a music player like the iTouch, GET IT!!!
