Cowon J3 32 GB MP4 Player

if you are on for the best class device then you at the best page to buy it , this is cowon j3 the best sounding mp3 player with the best online store in india .. and you might not be able to point a finger to any of these two things .. 32 gb internal , put another 32 in it .. i dont think you could fill this space easily ... but some like me just did it in a month ... thats the only grief for me .. i would have loved it with 64 gb internal and another 64 to get on board ... still this is the best you can get .. and awesome value for money ... i got it on cod .. and the service was a day before .. thats what i call best in class ...

Thank you Cowon! I wont need to go into details regarding the sound quality of the J3, because anyone who has tried any Cowon product would know what it is capable of in terms of the sound quality it produces. This is my second Cowon product I have owned, and having used it for more than two weeks, I can safely say, this is by far the best portable music player I have ever come across.
The build quality is beautiful! Not too big nor too small. Easily pocketable. The weight too is just perfect.
A word of advice though, get new and better earphones to do justice to this baby. The earphones that came along are HORRIBLE. And I will emphasize on that. I use the Klipsch S4 and they just compliment each other. If you have a problem with the UI, fret not. UCIs are available for customization (Thank you Kizune). The interface is fast and very responsive. The volume control keys are on the bottom right side of the player, and the track change buttons and the play/pause buttons are situated at the top. And the best part is, the memory is upgradable upto 64 GB by inserting a 32 GB miniSD card. No frets about memory shortage there. This baby plays all the music files of any format I throw at it and it's a simple drag and drop procedure at transferring the files to the player. No annoying software required to do so.
The video files play flawlessly without any lag (haven't noticed any) and it played every video format I threw at it. But again, I bought this for it's pocketability, so I mostly use my V5 for video watching, especially while traveling (My line of work requires me to travel a lot, and these two devices make the long trips pleasurable). If you expect to install apps and stuff like that, then this is not for you. The J3 specializes in music, and it does a very good job at it.

I was looking for a good pmp with sound quality. The main purpose was to listening to music only. Then I ruled out iPods because, for me more than a player, it was meant for something else, moreover one important factor i considered was changing tracks without looking into screen.
I usually create random playlists and skip tracks,for that the physical buttons are essential.
with J3 am extremely happy.
another reason is its ability to play ogg, as I'm a Linux enthusiast I keep my music library in Ogg, so with J3 i just have to copy the whole directory to music folder in J3.

J3 supports album art but it read only cover.jpg. But I manage my collection with winamp, it supports reading the jpg with album name. So had to renameall the albumart jpg to cover.jpg.

Verdict:
If you looking for a PMP solely for music and occasional video go for it.
for better experience buy some good headphones like cowon CE1 orsomething as the headphone provided with J3 is not up to the mark

Pros:

Physical buttons(track skip,prev, vol up,down,play/pause, lock screen)
Amazing playback time(i usually get about 40+ hrs)

Cons:
bundled headphones doesn't fulfill the J3's aural experience

Trust me. You will NOT regret buying the J3 if you know what you are getting. If you are looking for a player dedicated only to music and video without all the apps/browser/android blah blah, this is the one to get. I consider myself somewhat of an audiophile and the sound quality of this device is STUNNING. The display is crisp and vivid. The UI takes getting used to at first. The video quality is brilliant. But seriously, the sound is stellar. the custom EQ and BBE enhancements are enough to satisfy anybodys needs to apir it with the headphones of their choice.
