The Cowon J3 is a portable multimedia player that comes with a host of features, specially cut-out for your entertainment. With an elegant design and long battery life, the J3 is your perfect companion while taking a stroll in a park or going out on a vacation. Apart from audio, video playback support, the candy bar shaped device is also bundled with FM Radio, Voice Recorder, Document Reader, Image Viewer, Calculator, Notepad and Games.

Design

The sleek looking Cowon J3 features a 3.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16:9 aspect ratio and 16 million color support. The glossy display screen is complemented by a brushed metal finish edge at the bottom. The buttons and slots are spread around the sides of the device. The J3 player is fitted with a G-Sensor for auto rotation of the screen.

The right edge of the Cowon player features the play/pause button, the forward/back track keys and the volume rocker. The left side houses the power key that also acts as the lock key. The bottom panel of the J3 MP3 player stores the 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB and TV out slot and the microSD card slot.

Battery and Storage

Under the hood, this portable multimedia player from Cowon houses a rechargeable Lithium-Polymer battery. You can charge the device by either plugging in the USB cable to a PC/laptop or using a conventional power adaptor. The battery gets fully charged in 3.5 hours through USB charging mode.

On full charge, the battery serves you a continuous music playback of up to 64 hours. This lets you go unplugged with your Cowon J3 for a long time without worrying about the battery support. With video playback support of up to 11 hours, you can watch back-to-back movies even on the go.

The Cowon J3 ships with 32 GB of internal memory capacity. You can choose to expand the memory of the player by inserting an external microSD card for your ever increasing list of movies, songs and images. So with a vast amount of storage space available, you are freed from the need of deleting items from your player to make room for new ones.

Functions

The multi-format supporting feature of this Cowon MP3 player makes life easier for you and saves you from the trouble of file conversions. The player supports MP3, WMA, OGG, APE, WAV, FLAC (audio), AVI, WMV, ASF (video) JPG (photos) and TXT (documents) formats. You can listen to music either through a headphone jack, Bluetooth headset or turn it loud via the built-in speaker fitted on the back of the J3 music player.

For those of you who prefer watching things on the big screen, the Cowon J3 does not disappoint. It comes with a TV out cable which you can plug into your TV and view movies and images in higher resolution. With this Cowon device, you can plan a karaoke night with friends, thanks to its lyrics display support.

Audio enhancements include 5 band equalizers, stereo enhance and reverb effects, and BBE+ that let you enjoy your music at the highest sound quality. The high speed USB 2.0 lets you transfer files from your PC/laptop very easily and quickly.
