Creative SBS A335 2.1 Multimedia Speakers

I know nothing about electronics. I just wanted something that sounded great. After asking friends, the majority said Creative is a good brand. Then came the decision between 2.1 and 5.1 (where 2 and 5 are the number of small speakers and the .1 is the sub-woofer or the big black box). I decided to go with 2.1 as I have a small house and didn't want the clutter of 5 speakers around me.

I found the Creative SBS A335 on Flipkart and it had 16 reviews when I saw it, all of them praising the speakers. I thought, "None of the reviews are bad, plus the product has 5 stars, so they must be accurate." And I placed my order on Sunday. I received the speakers on Tuesday. Unpacked them, and it took me (the girl who knows nothing about electronics) all of 30 seconds to hook them up. Adjusted the bass and played some dubstep, rock, electro, and even Taylor Swift sounded great on these speakers, which shook the floor of my small apartment. The sound fills a room and now I'm praying I don't get any complaints from my neighbors.

Music quality is clear, doesn't distort at full volume (but you don't even need to put it at full... half volume is loud enough). One drawback (and it's minor) is that the smaller speakers have very thin gauze covering them, and it may tear if not handled carefully. So be careful. But apart from this, the sound itself is just superb. There is no "buzzing" or "humming" that affects the sound of your music.

Movies, I watched Real Steel tonight and the action parts were quite impactful. Overall, I would say that these are worth every rupee, and hardly even make a dent in your wallet at just 1,400 bucks. I call it guilt-free sound... fantastic speakers that don't cost the earth... your music sounds even better on them because you know you haven't paid half a month's salary for them :)

Usually in 2.1 systems the Woofer is crazy woofy and the satellites are two mice running around waiting for attention. uh oh.....

Ok ok, what I mean, with these speakers, the satellites are quite powerful. This was expected as each satellite says 5W, which is pretty decent. Along with a good enough woofer of 11W. Together the 3 speakers deliver is a really good sound and not just a damp humming bass. These speakers would be good replacement for my good old speakers.

My old Intex speakers are 10 year old from college, believe me or not, they are still working, lol. I am never gonna throw those away though, lot of memories bound with it.

Apart from that, this was my first order from flipkart, and as was expected again, did not have any problems with the order. Thanks guy, get ready to send me more stuff.

I have owned quite a few desktop speakers (Altec lansing, creative etc) and also high end hi-fi speakers (monitor audio gold, def tec, velodyne etc). As far as desktop speakers go this one is by far the best in terms of midrange clarity even though I find it a bit too crisp at times. The bass may not be the best but it can be tamed with the subwoofer volume control. I did back and forth comparisons with the older desktop speakers I have and this speaker certainly produces the vocals with more conviction and also picks up more details from the audio track, except for very deep bass which no one should expect in these systems. Listening to uncompressed audio files was a real delight in these.
I just wish they had provided the audio connection wire as detachable at both ends which would give the flexibility of using a better quality cables if we want to. But that does not stop me from giving these 5 stars.

the speakers are awesome! delivered within 3 working days. the sound is clear crisp and loud..adjust bass and you have a cinematic experience in a small room..

Well i cannot possibly start off without first complementing flipkart for it's exceptional service. I ordered this on 5pm and the next day 11am it was in my house. I think flipkart has set a benchmark for all the other only retailers.

Coming to the product, creative has always made on of the best when it comes to mp3 players or webcam or speakers and so on.
This particular speakers are exceptionally good for this price.
connection is easy. and they look pretty neat.
the woofer is okay. not all that great but then it's just me because i expected something more. i'm sure most people would love the woofers, one thing i can say for sure is that it doesn't crack up at high volumes. this speakers are ideal for my room infact this could be ideal even for a larger room.

One advice. keep the speakers at a distance while having the woofer in the centre. and the height at which you place the woofer must always be lower than speakers for better sound effect

cons: No wired remote unlike it's previous model
