Crimes Against Women is a detailed account of three major crimes against women in India.

    Summary of the Book

2012 closed with a chaotic event in India. A woman was brutally raped, beaten and abused with a metal rod on a moving bus. The event rocked the country, even more as the girl died of her wounds, two weeks later. In this book, the Wall Street Journal presents its case study of the situation in India, citing three barbaric cases of crimes against women. These stories bring out the real scenario in India, showing how the judicial system is failing to protect women. It explains how the police are poorly equipped to handle these cases and how there is little safety for women at night. In these stories, one can understand the fear women have when leaving their houses at night.

This is a book that will depress many, since it has no silver lining; but it is a must for everyone to read and be aware before being allowed...
